First Flow is the highest-rated 12-year-old in training and yet again he has to carry top-weight and try to beat some talented young ones! He could well do it, but as always it will be tough

Tripoli Flyer is a gorgeous horse who ran a lot better than the bare form of his Chepstow debut suggests. He was held up by Paddy and left with a lot to do, but stayed on well for 5th. Hopeful that he will show much more today.

Arranmore shaped nicely in his first race for the stable, not beaten far in 5th place at Chelmsford. The snag was he bled from the nose and we've had to be careful with him since. Can run well but once they do bleed there's always that worry.

We will keep trying with Curtiz, who apart from losing a shoe on the way round probably didn't get home over the 1m4f at Lingfield. We know he stays 1m2f all right, and it's whether he will handle Chelmsford, as it's his first visit there. Hopeful that he will.

Beauzon has a double penalty (10lb) for his two smooth wins around here and as he goes up 8lb from today anyway, he might as well take his chance. He doesn't have an ideal draw in eight of the nine remaining runners, but has been breaking nicely, and a repeat should help towards the three-peat…

We bring back Tribal Wisdom just two days after he was badly hampered at a crucial stage at Chelmsford. We are putting a line through that and hopefully, he can finally take advantage of his career-low mark to get his head in front.

Nab Wood is going the right way. He was a staying-on 2nd over 2m at Ayr last month and should enjoy the extra distance here. He has a bit to find on official ratings with the favourite, but we're hopeful.

Duo D'Enfer took advantage of a better handicap mark here compared with his French rating to win at the third time of asking for us at Sedgefield. He's up 4lb today and I was expecting seven or eight runners rather than 13, but he races prominently and it shouldn't make much difference to him. Although…

Singapore Trip ran well at Newcastle, a close 3rd on only 2nd start for the stable. He was raised 3lb for that and is 3lb out of the handicap but that mark of 111 compares favourably with his French rating which approximates to 120. Talented, and the champion liked him at Newcastle. Hopeful.

Rare Edition returned after his break with an excellent close 3rd at Doncaster. His form tailed off a little after a career-best around here in December 2022, but I'd be disappointed if he didn't make a good job of defying his big weight.

Monaghan Boy ran well when 2nd over 2m4f at Hexham. He should enjoy the step up to 3m1f but a couple of these in here fit that profile too. Good each-way chance.

You Say Its Over has been runner-up the last twice at Hexham, fading late on last time compared with a much closer effort the time before. From her low mark and with Hughsie in the saddle she ought to to hold each-way chances again. He suggested Catterick would suit her better than Hexham.

We're keen to get Pic Roc qualified for the EBF Final at Sandown in March, so finishing in the first four is the main objective. He's improved since his last run and while the favourite is at a short price, Pic Roc can give him something to think about.

Personal Ambition looked very promising when winning at Warwick in November but was novicey when we upped him in class at Sandown last time. Hopefully, he can get back on track today.
