Renardeau was very disappointing at Southwell when he wouldn't face the visors. We've left them off in favour of cheek-pieces today and hope they will rekindle the enthusiasm.

Black Kettle is running nicely and has a good chance here. He likes the track and ground so if all goes to plan he will be in the shake-up.

We think Starcat has a futute. He's a nice colt by Lope De Vega and while he'll improve a lot for the experience, he's been showing up nicely with our later-developing colts.

Heresmynumber is having his first race for a while and he's starting back over hurdles after disappointing at Chepstow in the spring. The ground will be fine although I'm not sure he'll like the track. He's well and will go back chasing shortly.

See Forever is a lovely mare making her debut for us since joining from Paul Webber. This looks an ideal race as long as she copes with the ground and we are hopeful of a win.

Martha Brae had a nice run round last time in a hot novice event and will have learnt plenty from it. There is every chance she will be in the frame today after that experience, as she improved hugely between her first and second bumper runs.

Good and Ready is at his best on heavy ground. He has a big weight today but the way he rallied to win at Chepstow last time suggests he can make light of it.

Noble Behest gained his first win for the stable last time, going back up to two miles and displaying plenty of resolution. This is a stronger race but that toughness will stand him in good stead.

Shaffire has been running over sprint trips on the Flat, but she has been trained here with a view to stepping up in trip. She has shown a good attitude at home so hopefully she can run a big race.

Espoir De Loire won his hurdle race last season and can start in novice handicap chases off his final mark of 114. He is an exceptional jumper so again if all was A1 with the yard, he'd be hard to beat. Let's wait and see.

We know Jet Set can jump, but so far in races over fences she's never got round and it's letters rather than numbers. The first twice she unseated at the opening fence, but was still well there when falling last time at the 15th at Southwell. She has plenty of ability and if she manages…

Tarada showed enormous potential last season,  finishing second twice before winning nicely at Fontwell in February. I had intended to run him again but he had a setback. He went home for the summer and has come back to me looking fantastic. He could be anything!

Just Your Type ran well in some long-distance chases as a novice last season and won his match on return very impressively. He's in good form and we're hopeful he can follow up.

Diamond Gait missed an ideal opportunity when Ludlow was called off and this is more competitive. On her best form she should be placed but is high enough in the handicap.

Rubytwo is very honest and consistent and the form of her comeback second at Wetherby has already been franked by the winner. She has every chance from what is still a competitive mark.

Chidswell is the best stayer of our trio. He would probably be ideally suited by a longer trip and this run should set him up nicely for some valuable staying chases later on.

Young Bull has come out of his recent victory at Ffos Las in good order and now runs back here over an extra two furlongs. He carries a penalty, so he will need to take a step forward. He could not be in better form at home.

Louse Talk won a couple of hurdles last season. He drops back in trip after making his chase debut over further and if the jumping holds up he could go close.

He hasn’t run for over a year so and he might find the trip a little bit short but we needed to get a run into him. He’ll probably need the race today.
