The owner (Mrs Pauling) will be keeping a close watch on the racecourse debut of this jumping-bred five-year-old. As will the trainer if he knows what's good for him!

Sunny Express is in great form at home and should act well on this surface. We are hopeful that he will be in the frame.

Henrietta Bell had a brilliant summer last year, winning three races over hurdles. She has been struggling in testing ground this winter, but the chance to run on all-weather might prove a welcome change for her. Place hopes.

Prabeni had some form on the Flat and over hurdles at his best would not be far off top rated. Ours have not been running that well, though, and neither has he. I would imagine Mr Nicholls has this one covered.

Winner of an all-weather bumper, Lantiern came back from a wind-op with a good fourth in a competitive Huntingdon handicap hurdle - just behind subsequent winner Shah An Shah. Must go well here.

Polish has already shown himself to be a smart horse in his short time here and won very well at Ludlow. This may be a tough ask after only two runs but he is in great form and could run a big race

Ocean Cove is in great form. He is very fresh and well ready for today. We have put the cheek-pieces back on and there is a big run in him. Sure to go close.

The veteran Perfect Candidate is in good form and will relish this ground and trip. The main problem is he has a big weight to carry - he's 6lb higher than when winning at Haydock two runs back. Still we're hopeful of making the frame.

This lovely home-bred mare has been off the course since running well in a Cheltenham bumper nearly two years ago. She probably wants further but we are starting off over two miles as she will be excited and keen for the comeback. A first four placing for Lady Of The Night would be satisfactory and…

Project Mars is in great form and has come on for his returning second place on stable debut. This looks a trickier race so we may again have to settle for a place, although he has strong each-way chances.

Pond Road is an enigma as he has never shown on the racecourse what he does at home. He certainly has the ability to run well but we have said that before every race. In the circumstances we would be delighted if he were placed.

Miss Honey Ryder ran a lovely race last time at Wincanton and she should build on that today. The ground may be a little soft for her liking but we are still expecting a good performance.

After Hereford when he showed he hates jumping fences - unsurprising after a bad fall a few runs back at Fontwell required an operation on his face - I will be keeping Heresmynumber to hurdles. He ran well in one back at Fontwell before Hereford and he is one of the few in this race…

Roxyfet has bounced back well from his last run, when he was found to have an irregular heartbeat. This happened once before a few years ago and since the latest run he has had all the tests which have shown it isn’t a permanent issue. Therefore we are hopeful he can find his form again…

This decent Flat performer was disappointing first time over jumps but then came to win his race last time at Wincanton, finishing a close second at 50/1. A repeat of that run would take him very close indeed. On form I believe Rhosneigr has one to beat.

Central City ran his best race for a while when second at Wolverhampton. He runs on a similar surface today and the galloping track will suit him better than Dunstall Park. Good chance.

Carlow Farmer ran well on debut for us and will improve a good deal for the experience. This is a decent race, though, and if he finishes in the first four or five I'll be delighted.

The Macon Lugnatic had good form last year but had a problem with his shoulder at Leicester and had to be pulled up. If anywhere near the old form he'll run a nice race but he's unlikely to be winning yet.

Shah An Shah will be a nice staying chaser next season and he's made great strides in a short time this term. If he can win a hurdle it will be a bonus, and the way he ran last time, going another half mile, he could go close today. Certainly an each-way candidate.

The Edgar Wallace, a stunning son of Flemensfirth, was a shade unlucky on his only previous start at Exeter. He ran a blinder and we felt he should have won. That form has been boosted, so while this looks a good race on paper he should go very close.
