Vinnie The Hoddie put in a much-improved performance around here recently, going clear with three others in a very good handicap chase before lack of condition told late on in his seasonal debut. I'm hoping the race isn't coming too soon, as a repetition of the last effort would be good enough to make him…

08/09/20 1st 13/2 – Stormin Norman – Micky Hammond – Catterick
So far we've thought Stormin Norman would be ideally suited by better ground and if this race was at Ayr or Musselburgh on soft going we'd be pulling him out. There's still a chance he might be all right on it down the road at Catterick, so he'll be doing his best. Great chance 1f…

We are very hopeful about Long Stay. He goes really well and is fit and ready for this stable debut.

08/09/20 1st 4/1 – Cheltenam De Vaige – Fergal O’Brien – Newton Abbot
Cheltenham De Vaige has been upped in grade as he has risen in the handicap for his two wins. We're giving him another chance over this course and distance in a novice handicap so this will be interesting and we're hopeful of a place.

08/09/20 1st 7/4 – Dariya – Charlie Longsdon – Newton Abbot
We had to run Dariya unpenalised after her easy win in a seller at Stratford on Saturday. She was up for auction afterwards and while it was possibly surprising there wasn't a bid, there was no-one there to make one! She has been raised 10lb by the handicapper, so I hope he's right.

06/09/20 1st 15/8 – Courtandbould – Fergal O’Brien – Fontwell Park
Courtandbould remains in great form. He was only beaten last time because of a double penalty and that situation could well happen today. We may have to be satisfied with a place again.

05/09/20 1st 15/2 – Jamacho – Charlie Longsdon – Stratford upon Avon
Clearly after three wins in a row, always confounding our fears about his attitude, Jamacho owes us nothing. This is another step up in class so can he do it? Probably not, but you never know with him!

05/09/20 1st 9/4 – Dariya – Charlie Longsdon – Stratford upon Avon
Dariya is pretty consistent but is getting a little difficult to win with. I expect her to run her usual solid race and maybe get into the frame.

Akmaam is a very nice son of Wootton Bassett. He is one for the future.

03/09/20 1st 10/11 – Hasanabad – Ian Williams – Southwell
Hasanabad has not been quite the disaster some have suggested since joining us. He wasn't beaten far in a very strong handicap at Ascot last time and we've been concentrating on getting him to race more evenly. He has schooled nicely and he could be an above-average recruit to hurdling.

03/09/20 1st 10/3 – Proper Ticket – Fergal O’Brien – Southwell
Proper Ticket is in good form and will appreciate this better ground. The main worry is that the trip is too short but it's a good starting point for the season. We hope she can run into a plac

02/09/20 1st 11/4 – Lilkian – Shaun Keightley – Wolverhampton
Lilkian remains in fantastic form after his win over 7f at Chelmsford. He is up 5lb and drops back down to six furlongs but I'm not worried about either. Could continue to progress and a great chance today.

02/03/20 1st 14/1 – Peur De Rien – Oliver Sherwood – Uttoxeter
This will be Peur De Rien's first run over fences and his second since a major wind operation. He's a stunning-looking horse, but owing to that wind issue and unsuitably testing ground it's impossible to be sure how successful it has been. It may well take him a couple of runs to gain confidence and…

02/09/20 1st 10/1 – Shinobi – Kim Bailey – Uttoxeter
Shinobi was a good bumper winner and his form afterwards was decent enough. This is his first run over hurdles and I reckon he will have to run to a rating of 118 to win this. He should be placed and could well go closer. I like this horse - he is a character!

Sir Benedict ran well on his first start. This breeze-up buy has improved a great deal for that run and has a small chance in what looks a decent race.

I'm slightly concerned about the ground for Shady McCoy. If it's not too testing and we get a decent gallop he could go close.

30/08/20 1st 7/2 – Urban Artist – Hughie Morrison – Goodwood
Urban Artist was very good i bumpers and like many in the family switched to the Flat with success. A Listed bumper winner, she rather surprised me when beating a couple of promising three-year-olds at Windsor. I'm not sure that run warranted her rating of 80, but today will tell us whether that was correct.…

29/08/20 1st 3/1 – Le Don De Vie – Hughie Morrison – Windsor
This could be a last run in the UK for Le Don De Vie before he goes to Australia later in the year. We spoke to his owners there this morning before giving him the final go-ahead, hoping he can make it a first stakes win. He was unlucky at Goodwood and with a clear…

As with Sir Busker, we're running back Seinesational quickly after his last-to-first win at Sandown. He has good form around here and should have plenty of room to make his challenge in the straight. Good chance.

Seaside Girl ran well behind a well-handicapped mare at Market Rasen last month on her comeback. I think she's in the right spot and if Philip Hide is right about the state of the going, she has a great chance.
