Dragons Will Rise has been running very well at Newcastle an while the Tapeta here doesn't always ride exactly like up there, he should adapt to it. He remains on a reasonable mark and can continue in form under Rab Havlin.

01/11/20 1st 7/4 – Imperial Aura – Kim Bailey – Carlisle
This Intermediate chase is always a competitive race and today's six-strong affair is no exception. Imperial Aura will probably go off favourite after his Cheltenham Festival win and we are hopeful he will justify the market support.

01/11/20 1st 11/8 – Bathiva – Fergal O’Brien – Huntingdon
Bathiva makes his debut for the stable having joined from David Dennis, for whom he won easily on his last start at Taunton in March. This looks competitive but he is in good form at home and conditions today should suit. Good chance of making the frame.

01/11/20 1st 25/1 – Applaus – Micky Hammond – Carlisle
Applaus hasn't run since Christmas and he wasn't in the best of form when he signed off. After such a break it is fair to think he might be better for the run.

31/10/20 4th 16/1 – Henrietta Bell – Harry Whittington – Wetherby
Henrietta Bell has been in good form at home and is continuing to be very consistent in her races. Hopefully the galloping track and underfoot conditions should suit her well and she will run a big race.

31/10/20 3rd 9/1 – Kildisart – Ben Pauling – Wetherby
Kildisart is having his first run over hurdles for two and a half years. The principal object is to get him right for the Ladbroke Trophy (Hennessy to you and me!) in a month's time, but never mind that, he's in good form and should run well here despite being an outsider.

31/10/20 3rd 40/1 – Silver Tassie – Micky Hammond – Wetherby
We're looking for a clear round with Silver Tassie who fell last time on the course back in December. Hopefully he'll run well but top weight won't be easy.

31/10/20 3rd 20/1 – Dawndiva – Brian Meehan – Newmarket
Dawnvida is a very nice filly by Dawn Approach. Again we have the unknown of whether she will handle the testing ground on her debut. I think it's worth risking an each-way bet at the long odds that she can cope with conditions.

31/10/20 2nd 12/1 – Masked Identity – Shaun Keightley – Newmarket
A candidate for the best-named horse to be running in 2020, Masked Identity never got into contention at Chelmsford from his wide draw. He won well in soft ground on the July Course on his previous start and looks to have a great chance today. He's been in great order at home.

31/10/20 2nd 17/2 – Sometimes Always – Ian Williams – Ascot
Sometimes Always will need to settle. If he does he could be a force to be reckoned with as he did well in his novice runs last year.

31/10/20 2nd 14/1 – Grange Ranger – Micky Hammond – Wetherby
As with Silver Tassie, our other runner in this handicap, we'll be looking for a safe run round on his first outing since February. On home work he'll probably be the one to go a little better and again he should run a nice race.

31/10/20 1st 4/5 – Castle Rushen – Nicky Richards – Ayr
Castle Rushen is a grand horse who did very well when first then second in his two bumpers around here. This is a nice starting point for his hurdles career and we think he's a very good prospect for Mr Hemmings.

30/10/20 3rd 18/1 – Landen Calling – Fergal O’Brien – Uttoxeter
Landen Calling will be fit and ready to run his race. He doesn't work particularly well but is improving so hopefully he can show us something. Probably best watched today.

30/10/20 3rd 11/1 – Sweet Bertie – Brian Meehan – Newmarket
Sweet Bertie has run two nice races and I like him very much. Normally you would be thinking that with the experience behind him he'd have to go close but the ground has gone heavy and I've no idea how he will act on it. The same goes for the filly later on.

30/10/20 1st 11/10 – Whitehaven – Hughie Morrison – Newmarket
Two weeks ago if you told me Whitehaven would be 7-4 favourite for a Newmarket 0-85 handicap I would have suggested you visit your medical consultant. Two quick and easy wins at Yarmouth; heavy ground which he seems to cope with and bottom weight make the impossible quite feasible. I probably still wouldn't have aimed…

30/10/20 1st 4/1 – The Cob – Ben Pauling – Uttoxeter
The Cob will probably have it all to do with the Harry Fry runner who was a brilliant bumper horse two seasons ago. Our boy is a solid 125 performer and in good form at the moment, but he'll probably need there to be a hole in the favourite to win. I'll be disappointed if…

29/10/20 1st 9/2 – Grandeur Dame – Oliver Sherwood – Newton Abbot
Grandeur D’Ame is a full-brother to Dominateur, a multiple winner for us, and like him is owned by Kate and Andrew Brooks. He is less laid back than his brother and may not yet be strong enough to cope with soft ground. He is a long way from the finished article, but I hope he…
