Whatsupwithyou ran a blinder on comeback around here at the last meeting staying on into a close seventh in a big field. Luca rides again and we'll keep it simple. Sure to run a big race.

Torigni won his latest race in France but that was more than a year ago. He's been schooling very well in advance of this stable debut and we're very excited to have our first runner in the famous double-green colours. We can't be sure about his handicap mark so we'll learn a lot today.

Carrolls Milan is a dour and very genuine stayer over hurdles and looks the ideal type for fences. She jumps fences well and looks sure to go close on today's debut.

Just Your Type is in good form at home and made a promising start to the season when fifth on his recent return at Carlisle. He stays all day and should be there or thereabouts at the finish.

Everyone who's trained Four Mile Bridge thought he was an 80 horse on home work but he's 0-20. Before his recent debut for me he worked not far short of that figure but ran terribly in the race. I've stuck a pair of blinkers on him as a last hope and we'll see what happens.…

Poldark Cross, a point winner in Ireland, is a staying type in the making and we're starting him in this novice hurdle over two and a half miles, We'll learn plenty about him today and he can only improve when allowed to try three miles later in the season.

Schiehallion Munro had an excellent first season over fences and ran well for a long way on comeback in a strong race at Wetherby. He can show the benefit of that outing and should go very close back over the same course and distance 

What About Time is a grand horse who won an Irish point in December. He will improve a lot for the run but we're hoping he might run on into a place.

Anightinlambourn ran well when fifth on her reappearance and has been in good form at home since the race. I'm confident she'll run a big race today. 

Rubytwo remains a maiden after six second places but possibly three times she's thrown it away with a last-hurdle blunder when looking the  probable winner. It's important she puts in a clear round of jumping today as this mares' maiden is very special and under the GBB scheme, if the horse is owned by its…

Castle Robin runs in his first handicap hurdle after making all to win a Carlisle novice last time. This is very competitive but he could be well handicapped so we're very hopeful he'll follow up.

Fulbeck Girl has been generally disappointing but there was a little more encouragment last time. Today she is well drawn and has a good jockey booking so prospects of at least a place are high.

Naizagai hung badly right last time so should be better going right-handed. He's going to be held up today to teach him to settle. If that works he'll have each-way chances.

Foster'sisland wasn't a bad performer in good-class bumpers last season, placed behind some fair sorts. He was more unfit than we suspected when taking on a hot field of novice hurdlers at Wetherby and had to be pulled up but will be a lot straighter today. Still more needed I suspect.

Shore Shanty did very well in her two bumpers and as a full-sister to our nice mare Henrietta Bell we are hopeful she will prove even better over jumps. We are very much looking forward to this hurdling debut.

It's been a areal struggle to get Elmetto to the races and I can't believe I've done enough with her to have her back to the level of her course and distance run last year when she was beaten only a nose. It's probably more a watching brief.
