Cossack Dancer was very green when he ran in his debut bumper at Newbury so seventh was in no way a disgrace. He had thought racing was a bit of a game but since he's been schooling he's knuckled down a bit and we expect a much-improved showing today.

Cardano made a very good all-weather debut on this course and distance last time, and a repetition would give him a clear each-way chance. As is often the case, a couple of three-year-olds look the potential problems.

Hurricane Harvey is well up to the class on ratings and looks sure to run his usual consistent race. It could be that the Tizzard horse might be hard to beat on these level terms.

Jen's Fella made a promising first run for the stable last time moving up to this trip at Lingfield. If he's in the same form today he should go very close.

Judging on yesterday I think the ground may have gone against Solar Impulse. He's in fine form though and could still run a decent race.

The absence of the overnight favourite slightly eases the task for Optimise Prime, but it's still competitive enough. One thing's for sure, he won't be 50-1 again as he was when winning oiver course and distance on debut. Luca's claim more than offests the 6lb penalty and he should go well again.

It's ages since Knocknamona won a race, but he was successful in this three years ago and both the trip and heavy ground that he will encounter today are ideal. His mark has slipped a long way and he must have each-way chances in an ordinary race.

Twojayslad ran really well last time at Uttoxeter after another longish absence. He will not have to improve much to win this.

This lovely horse ran well last time and was probably beaten by the tight track at Fakenham. I'm keen to get him experience of Cheltenham and he is the form horse in the race although not top-rated. Fingers crossed for a very bold showing.

Zayriyan has an obvious chance in a race of this nature but remains a long-running maiden. I would not be surprised if he made the frame again but things would have to go absolutely right for him to get his head in front on the line.

Lucky's Dream has been out of form, so we're sending him back to Chelmsford where he usually runs well to seek a revival. Nice price too!
