Golan Loop won his point-to-point nicely. He does everything right at home and while it's a first day at school for him, I think he can run okay.

It's a while since Sophosc showed his best but his last two races were over considerably shorter than ideal, the 100/1 odds accurately reflecting his chance. He was rated in the high 70s in the spring of last year and now this CD winner can run off 56. Hopeful.

Barra Blue has an opportunity to end a disappointing sequence in a modest contest. It's hard to be over-optimistic though after her latest runs.

Jumper Madrik switches to fences and needs to improve on what he showed over hurdles. He is a big chasing type and starts from a low mark on debut, but needs to pull his finger out.

Roi De Baviere had plenty of experience of heavy ground when racing on the flat in France, running two good placed races on it. He shaped okay on debut at Newcastle and this looks a decent opportunity.

Moon Rocket is an Irish point winner who has been pleasing at home. This looks competitive and hard to evaluate, but place chances!

We have a high regard for The Jukebox Man who had the best hurdles form of these last season including an unlucky close 2nd at the Cheltenham Festival. We are hopeful he will take high ank as a chaser, starting here.

Zhang Fei has had a good summer/autumn and for a long time at Stratford looked like gaining another win with his customary front-running style. This track could suit him and Fern, who takes 7lb off, knows him well.

Herakles Westwood was very progressive last winter, winning three times and ending up with a fine 3rd in a big field at Ayr's Scottish Grand National meeting. We are hopeful he will be ready for today.

King Of The Road should have improved for his comeback run. He can run well but it looks a decent race with some in-form opposition.

It's a first run for us for Beat The Edge, He had plenty of decent form for previous connections to suggest his lower chase mark should be manageable. Hoping for a good start.

Keep Running did well last season but ran disappointingly on his seasonal return last month. We hope he can do much better today.

This will be all about whether Faerie Cutlass can handle the rain-softened ground. She would every chance if she did.

Lilting Verse has been crying out for three miles. Off the back of a solid chasing start over shorter, she should go very close. We are hopeful she can win this.

We have been looking forward for ages to this run from Trelawne. He needs to start off in a small field to gain confidence after his fall at Cheltenham and this fits the bill. The trip is probably on the short side but he should run well, although Iroko seems thrown in at the weights.

Ryan's Rocket won at Kempton in May but found the Grade 2 opposition here on comeback a bit rich at this stage of his development. This easier company should be more to his liking.

Molto Bene cannot have the ground too soft and I hope by the time of her race it will have become chewed up. She was in good form before her break and I think she's well handicapped.

Law Of Supply won well at Worcester but the handicapper has taken no chances by throwing 11lb at him. He is an honest horse who will be thereabouts. Should run well.

Typical Woman won a couple in the summer but is higher in the handicap now and could do with a little help from the official.
