10/10/24 – 1st 11/10 – Harrys Hope – Ben Pauling – Exeter

Harrys Hope won with plenty to spare first time over fences at Southwell. Even with the 7lb penalty he is 4lb well in. Should win again.

10/10/24 – 1st 2/1 – Think Of A Name – William Knight – Bath

Think Of A Name drops back to 5f, which on soft ground should be in his favour. Could be hard to beat.

09/10/24 – 1st 15/8 – Court In A Storm – Kim Bailey – Ludlow

Court In A Storm ran well in his only bumper to finish second at Huntingdon. He must have a great chance here. Well named for the weather we're having!

09/10/24 – 1st 6/1 – Brendas Asking – Kim Bailey – Ludlow

Brendas Asking is more than capable of winning this. While her rider does not have a great deal of experience, I'm hopeful.

08/10/24 – 2nd 18/1 – Just Typical – Ian Williams – Southwell

Just Typical has yet to win but the penny is belatedly dropping. At the bottom of a modest field, this could be her chance.

08/10/24 – 1st 7/1 – El Rio – Kim Bailey – Huntingdon

El Rio is capable but he has had his problems with an irregular heartbeat. A summer break seems to have done him the world of good and we are hoping to turn his form around, something we will not know until he runs. Hoping for a good effort to be able to build on.

08/10/24 – 1st 5/4 – Dalmally – Hughie Morrison – Brighton

I thought Dalmally would win last time, but he was outstayed by two Dylan Cunha horses, the 2nd of which runs here. That horse disappointed the next time and if Dalmally is on his game he should go very close.

07/10/24 – 1st 100/30 – Hard As Nails – Fergal O’Brien – Stratford upon Avon

Hard As Nails is true to her name, consistent and genuine. She will appreciate today's ground and holds an each-way chance.

07/10/24 – 1st 6/4 – Simiyann – Ian Williams – Wolverhampton

Simiyaan finally looked as though he was getting his act together with a much-improved run at Chelmsford. A repetition of that would probably be good enough.

06/10/24 – 1st 16/5 – Rickety Gate – Nicky Richards – Kelso

We tried Rickety Gate over 3m2f at Perth last time but he didn't stay so he's back at around his preferred trip over which he is a CD winner. That was a while ago, but he seems well and is a decent price. Each-way chances.

06/10/24 – 1st 2/1 – Rare Edition – Charlie Longsdon – Uttoxeter

Four classy hurdlers meet over fences with their marks only 4lb apart and any one of them could win. Our rivals, especially Skelton and Twiston-Davies, are in good form, but if Rare Edition can jump the fences well on debut he has the ability to go close. Fingers crossed.

05/10/24 – 1st 9/1 – Hippocratic Oath – Brian Meehan – Wolverhampton

Hippocratic Oath starts from a mark of 60 after his three runs. Yet to get involved, we would be delighted if he finishes in the money.

05/10/24 – 1st 22/1 – Alcazan – Roger Teal – Ascot

Alcazan is a tough, genuine mare and I think she was in season last time which probably explains the disappointing run. She likes the track and the ground and she'll keep trying when others cry enough. Place chances and better than the odds suggest.

05/10/24 – 1st 29/10 – Jayarebe – Brian Meehan – Longchamp

Jayarebe's form in France has stood up well. Economics proved too strong for him at the finish there and then won the Irish Champion Stakes. This is a great spot for our very good 3yo, although I see there has been plenty of money for Economics' stablemate My Prospero.

03/10/24 – 1st 11/8 – Kaylan – Fergal O’Brien – Warwick

As with many German-bred horses, Kaylan has plenty of staying blood in his pedigree. We are looking forward to this bumper debut.

03/10/24 – 1st 13/2 – Harry’s Hope – Ben Pauling – Southwell

Harry's Hope is in good order. She jumps well and has a good chance of being in the three.

03/10/24 – 1st 11/1 – Ikigai Star – Charlie Longsdon – Southwell

Ikigai Star ran well when 2nd last time at Worcester. He has a handy weight and Davis Bass offers stronger handling. Can go well.

02/10/24 – 3rd 11/2 – Parramount – Charlie Longsdon – Kempton Park

Parramount enjoys his runs on the flat and always goes nicely on AW. This qualifier for a series is competitive for the grade, but he should be bang there at the finish.

02/10/24 – 2nd 12/1 – Green Team – Ian Williams – Catterick

Green Team is a winner waiting to happen. He's been 3rd the last three and will not mind the ground. Big chance.
