Night Duty has yet to win a race for us and he was rather brushed aside when 2nd in a Catterick maiden hurdle last time. That was over half a mile further than today's contest, but even so, his mark of 108 is hardly a bargain.

Do Your Job has the better ground he needs. He comes here in good form and I'm hopeful he can finish in the first three.

I would have thought Bodygroove might have been 7lb lower on the basis of his three hurdles runs, but at least under the conditionals' rules, Josh can claim 8lb. One or two have much better form so maybe 3rd or 4th would be creditable.

Jack Hyde was an excellent 3rd to big-money novice Palladium at Huntingdon and smoothly landed the odds over 2m on this track last time. The way he won his Newcastle bumper for previous connections last season suggests this move to 2m4f should be very much to his liking. Ver hopeful.

Plenty was expected of The Jukebox Kid on his Irish point debut at Tinahely and he duly won as he liked. We have been delighted with him since he arrived here and in a tough novice hurdle, we're expecting a solid start to his career from here.

Bad finally ended his sequence of unlucky runs with an emphatic success over the CD last month. I suppose we had to expect a big rise - 9lb for ten lengths - but that might just have opened the floodgates for him. Go Bad!

Just when we thought Green Team might do something other than finish 2nd, and expected an overdue win, he bombed out as a tailed-off last of nine at Lingfield. You can forgive one bad run among many better efforts, so expect him back on the near-miss trail here.

Imperial Jade did it nicely last time at Doncaster. She's up 8lb for that but I'm very hopeful she can repeat the performance and I'm looking forward very much to seeing her run.

Stardhem made a winning chasing start over this CD last month. He is only 2lb higher and the better ground could be right up his street. Big chance of a repeat.

Point debut winner Youdecide has shown underwhelming form so far but slips into this low-grade handicap on an interesting mark. You would have to wonder though why Charles Byrnes has taken the trouble of bringing two here as well as one at Cheltenham today. Danger signals flashing!

Coniston George by and large had been consistent until blowing out badly when pulled up at Kelso last month. The handicapper hasn't been in a rush to ease his mark so it would be a little surprising if he did win this today.

You can put a line through Shillanavogy's last performance at Wincanton when he just didn’t seem to enjoy himself at all. He has been in very good form at home since then and we should see a return to his best today.

Awaythelad ran his best race of the winter in 2nd last time at Doncaster when the first-time blinkers seemed to help. We retain them here and hope going up in trip will also be of benefit. Good chance in a tight race.

Lilting Verse got her head in front narrowly, 2nd time over fences at Huntingdon, but her jumping has been an issue since and her form has gone to pot. The ability is still there, but she will need to handle the fences better if she is to take a hand in this.

Kamsinas won at Aintree over 2m4f in the autumn and probably needed the latest run after eight weeks off at Ascot last time. He goes up to three miles for the first time and if he enjoyed the trip he would be a strong win candidate.

Magnolia won a 21k hurdle in France where her mark before leaving equated to 116. She has loads of experience and showed promise 2nd time out for us when 5th at Newcastle. Worth an each-way punt with the horses in better fettle.

Big City Roller won a UK point for Tom Ellis and then first time, a hurdle at Carlisle in soft ground for us. He's been off for more than a year but this starting point over fences looks winnable with just a four-horse field. Hopeful.

Master Breffni is a little up in class and 5lb out of the handicap. In this four-runner race, we'll run him the same way, dropping him out and hoping the top two, who both concede lots of weight, flag a little in the home straight and he outstays them.

The rain has come in time as Mr Grey Sky loves it very soft. There are only four runners and he has every chance. He ran well last time at Exeter and needs to win this to break our irritating sequence of placed horses!
