We've given Houston Texas time to recover from his run in the Eider where he looked a threat for the first three-and-a half miles but was out on his feet in the straight. Ron Barry was a great stable jockey for my father and I remember him telling me that very few racehorses truly stay four miles. Houston Texas certaiinly didn't, which was a shame as we'd laid him out for it. He gets this trip in bad ground very well though and as long as he's fully recovered from the Newcastle exertions I think he can win this.
