A couple of seasons ago we thought a lot of Gege Ville. He won his bumper nicely then got a leg which has held him back. We hope he gets a nice run around and is sound in the morning then we can go on from there.

21/12/24 – 1st 12/1 – Fiercely Proud – Ben Pauling – Ascot
Fiercely Proud came from too far back when 6th in the Greatwood. We will ride him much handier today and hopefully get a big result. He deserves to win one of these.

21/12/24 – 1st 9/1 – Crambo – Fergal O’Brien – Ascot
Crambo looks great and always goes well first time out., He won this last year but I think Strong Leader will take a lot of beating. He's done plenty of work and there's a lot more zest about his schooling than there has been in the past. Place chances.

Naughty Niall has beaten only one rival in four runs back since a summer break. He needs to wake his ideas up.

20/12/24 – 1st 4/7 – Hippocratic Oath – Brian Meehan – Wolverhampton
Hippocratic Oath missed the break last week at Kempton but ran on strongly for 2nd behind a useful Godolphin juvenile. He's 2lb well in as his new mark doesn't come into play until tomorrow. Big chance.

18/12/24 2nd 13/2 – De Kingpin – Ben Pauling – Newbury
De Kingpin was 2nd in both his bumpers and was 3rd and then 5th in his two hurdle runs this year. I fear that form is not good enough to win a novice at Newbury. Place chances.

18/12/24 – 1st 5/2 – Meetmebythesea – Ben Pauling – Ludlow
Meetmebythesea did well to make a winning debut around here and should improve. However, he could well have his work cut out to deal with The Kemble Brewery.

18/12/24 – 1st 5/2 – Herakles Westwood – Warren Greatrex – Newbury
Herakles Westwood ran very well at Taunton first time over fences and back from a break. He has come out of that race well and we're hopeful he can go one better today.

16/12/24 – 1st 11/4 – Alien Storm – Charlie Longsdon – Plumpton
I've a slight worry about the ground for Alien Storm and also I'm not sure there's much pace on. Maybe we'll have to change tactics and ride him closer to the front. He likes the track though so hopeful.

14/12/24 – 1st 11/4 – The Kalooki Kid – Nicky Richards – Doncaster
The Kalooki Kid is a grand horse. He ran well when 2nd in his first chase at Ayr. He's in good order and we hope he can continue the good work, although it is a competitive novice handicap chase.

Quantock Hills was a good winner last time out and the form of his first run for us has worked out well. He deserves to take his chance here although rain would be appreciated.

13/12/24 – 3rd 8/1 – Ruby Island – Nicky Richards – Doncaster
We've not had Ruby Island for long. Mark did well with her but then she had a layoff before her only run last season and another since then. We're training her differently and will get a feel for what she can do today, but she is a mare with ability.

11/12/24 – 2nd 6/1 – Sheradann – Ian Williams – Kempton Park
Sheradann is one of three we run in this valuable final. Last year he won three in a row for Francis Graffard. He took a while to strike form for us but three weeks ago here in a qualifier, he was a half-length 3rd to tonight's rival Duke Of Oxford. They are weighted to run…

11/12/24 – 2nd 11/2 – Hippocratic Oath – Brian Meehan – Kempton Park
Hippocratic Oath won October nurseries at Wolverhampton and Southwell suggesting he was an improving young horse. The 2nd of the wins was boosted yesterday by the victory of Patrol back at Southwell so even though he's 7lb higher tonight, he should make a bold attempt at the hat-trick.
