Sugarloaf Lenny has disappointed the last twice. There has been nothing wrong with his work - he has been going well at home - and is in good nick. I'm taking a claim off today and hope that will make a difference.

Isabella Bee had been running progressively over hurdles before a good debut 2nd over fences. Back to 2m, she can get her head in front here.

19/08/24 1st 3/1 – She’s A Novelty – Fergal O’Brien – Catterick
She's A Novelty has come back well this year in her two runs following a break after two wins at the end of last season. She is reunited for this amateurs' race with Brodie, who was in the saddle for her latest win at Haydock in September. Hopeful.

17/08/24 – 3rd 10/1 – Oslo – Fergal O’Brien – Perth
Oslo hasn't been the luckiest of horses but he won nicely at Huntingdon in April. Up 8lb now, he would have an each-way chance if things fell for him.

17/08/24 – 1st 9/1 – Bullion Boss – Nicky Richards – Perth
Two in this. Bullion Boss has turned over a new leaf and is running very well. The jockey gets on well with him and can claim a handy 5lb. Hoping for another good run.

17/08/24 – 1st 100/30 – Hardy Boy – Ben Pauling – Market Rasen
Hardy Boy keeps finding new ways to avoid winning. After the last two runner-up spots you would be entitled to think it's his turn, but how many excuses can you find? If he decides to stick his neck out on the line, maybe!

16/08/24 – 1st 12/1 – Typical Woman – Ian Williams – Newbury
Typical Woman has been taking her time getting back to form after a delayed return. She's on a great mark and could well outrun her odds.

16/08/24 – 1st 100/30 – Standbackandlook – William Knight – Wolverhampton
Standbackandlook won over the CD last time but he is 6lb higher in what looks a very competitive 0-65. He is in good nick though and I expect him to run a big race.

15/08/24 – 1st 11/2 – Parlando – Ian Williams – Windsor
Parlando has been chasing the money in Racing League contests and other valuable handicaps. His mark is slowly dropping and off 80 it wouldn't be a shock if this Bahrain February winner suddenly remembered what he's supposed to do and shocked a few in this latest RL challenge.

15/08/24 – 1st 13/2 – Night Breeze – Ian Williams – Windsor
Night Breeze has hit form at the right time to challenge for this £25k prize after collecting less than half for his two recent wins at around the trip. Up 4lb for the last time at Thirsk, he can make a strong challenge for the hat-trick.

15/08/24 – 1st 8/1 – Toca Madera – Brian Meehan – Windsor
Toca Madera came back to his better juvenile form with a great showing in a hot 5f handicap at Goodwood where he overcame difficulties in running. I've been looking for a suitable race and while 6f might not be perfect, he's in the form to run a big race again.

14/08/24 – 2nd 9/4 – Parramount – Charlie Longsdon – Kempton Park
Parramount didn't get the 1m6f last time and I'm convinced 1m4f is his trip - he's pretty smart over 2m over hurdles. He's down in grade and likes the track. It's a big weight, but he's used to carrying much more over hurdles. Very hopeful.

Fifty Nifty is in great form and his work has been good. We're looking forward to dropping him back to 7f. Fast ground should be ideal.

10/08/24 – 2nd 20/1 – Dream Harder – Ian Williams – Ascot
Dream Harder has been ultra-busy in recent weeks and turned out in a Racing League race at Chepstow on Thursday. Disappointing there, he isn't the most consistent.

10/08/24 – 1st 4/1 – Holkham Bay – William Knight – Ascot
Holkham Bay has done well since his win at York. We have a jockey that is highly-rated in South Africa and hopefully, they will get on well together. We're dropping back from 6f to 5f but at Ascot with its stiff finish, that isn't a worry. Big chance.

09/08/24 – 1st 9/2 – Alcazan – Roger Teal – Brighton
Alcazan won by a short-head at Ascot and has gone up 4lb which seems harsh. Joe can claim back 5lb at Brighton, where they had a drop of rain overnight which will help her. Eve's horse may challenge her for the lead, but if she can fend him off, she can go very close again.

08/08/24 – 3rd 28/1 – Saint Riquier – Ian Williams – Sandown
Saint Riquier was a promising juvenile hurdler two seasons back when he also ran well a couple of times on the flat. It's 22 months since those exploits and he's just starting back on the comeback trail. Looking for a nice run to get him going again.
