We run two ex-flat racers in this wide-open handicap. United Front starts handicapping here and considering his flat mark in the 80s, this isn't particularly demanding if he can get the jumping right in a big field for the track.

Saint Riquier made a striking comeback when 3rd after almost two years off at Sandown. As long as he doesn't "bounce", we have to be optimistic.

Telford has to prove herself tonight. She starts handicapping on a low mark and should have every assistance from the saddle. Hopeful.

Dancing In Paris launches our triple hunt for Racing League prizemoney. He ran a blinder in the Shergar Cup, despite a slow start, finishing 3rd. He's had a little rest and can get back in the groove here.

After Thursday's Child disappointed last time, we found she had a bad case of ulcers and we've treated them. She seems back to her best form now. Six furlongs on this uphill course will be to her advantage and I expect her to outrun her odds. Small place chance.

Famous Last Word missed a recent entry owing to unsuitable ground. It's been 18 months since we saw him on the track and he may well just need this first run back.

Shelikesthelights had a wind-op before her last run at Cheltenham in April, but she was never travelling and pulled up. It's hard to know what to expect but on some form, she could go close.

Night On Earth should enjoy himself from the front, but as ever, the last furlong will probably have him hanging on. It's race number 18 in 2024, and he's catching stable-mate Mokaatil for the most racecourse action.

Mary, Mary quite contrary. We've fancied her many times, but she has disappointed. Better when 4th last time and Sean Bowen might well bring out that latent ability she shows us at home.

Woodstock City has yet to get his act fully together since we bought him from the Christopher Head stable in France. He has been running in smart company for the most part and now, down to 0-75 company, can go very close for the experienced Andrew Breslin in this apprentices' handicap.

Invincible Song carried the promise of her third run in maidens when 2nd at Goodwood into her initial nursery. She was a rallying 4th, beaten barely a length at Chepstow and now with first-time blinkers to help her, this looks a nice spot.

Lunatick is Lunatick. He has yet to win a race this year and when he was a close 2nd last time, his jockey reckoned he was only putting in 70 percent. Epsom does suit his type, though, so maybe it will be his day and if anyone can persuade him to do his best, Oisin…

Green Team has been warming to the task with recent runs around Chester. Amenable to an apprentice's riding, he should be the type for the Amateurs' Derby. Hopeful.

Dashinwhitesargent did win a race at Wolverhampton two runs back but last time he hung his chance away. He needs gelding really, but he did run okay at Epsom earlier and if he wants to, he'll go close.

Clever Relation has his share of issues and that's why he's in a seller. His only win so far came on a softish surface, so he shouldn't be worried on that score, but the favourite meets us on much better terms than in a handicap. Fingers crossed.

Piecederesistance is a class dropper that has been in the best form on the gallops for all of this year. Obviously the unpenalised favourite is the one to beat, but there's no guarantee she will replicate her latest winning form.
