It's going to be a big learning curve for British point-to-point winner Big City Roller, who will be a three-mile chaser. This is a good starting point and hopefully, he can run a nice race..

25/10/23 – 1st 22/1 – C’mon Kenny – Ian Williams – Kempton Park
C'Mon Kenny, like Kimifive, is relatively untried on all-weather and the hope is he might be reinvigorated by the experience. He needs something to jolt him out of some pretty ordinary recent performances.

24/10/23 – 2nd 13/2 – Manothepeople – Fergal O’Brien – Exeter
Manothepeople is in top form and will love the ground. Hopefully, he will run a big race, although he has to concede a lot of weight to the favourite.

24/10/23 – 1st 3/1 – Stroll On By – Charlie Longsdon – Exeter
It's only an extra furlong and a half for Stroll On By compared to Warwick last time, but he was flat out all the way there. Exeter is a much stiffer circuit and he should be able to go at a slightly more leisurely tempo which should suit. We've been wanting to go further with…

24/10/23 – 1st 12/1 – Future Fortune – Warren Greatrex – Hereford
Future Fortune is a sharp mare making her debut here today. She does everything well at home and we think she will give a good account of herself today.

22/10/23 – 1st 9/4 – Destroytheevidence – Kim Bailey – Kempton Park
We have added cheek-pieces today for Destroytheevidence as this is a shorter trip than normal. He carries a penalty for his Worcester win two runs back and wasn't disgraced when 2nd after his break. Good chance

22/10/23 – 1st 10/1 – Ballylinch – Micky Hammond – Sedgefield
A point winner in Ireland, Ballylinch had his three qualifying runs over hurdles and starts off on a modest enough mark. He's a very competent jumper of fences and will stay this trip. With the champ on board, we're expecting a good run but however he does today, he should win races.

21/10/23 – 1st 9/4 – Roman Art – Hughie Morrison – Wolverhampton
Apart from his close 3rd at Southwell in August (which he didn't replicate last month on a return visit) Roman Art has been a severe disappointment. No doubt somebody will pick him up for a song at next week's sale and go on to win a load of races with him. A good run here…

19//10/23 – 2nd 13/2 – Buxted Reel – Ian Williams – Chelmsford
The trip last time was too short for Buxted Reel and after a slow start, he never got involved. This extra two furlongs will suit him much better and he has decent form around the track, Possibilities.

19/10/23 – 1st 3/1 – Nells Son – Nicky Richards – Carlisle
Nells Son needs a bit of rain so conditions should be ideal. He would beat these on his first run last year and afterwards we tested him quite highly in some big races and he didn't disgrace himself. Confident he will go very well today.

19/10/23 – 1st 6/1 – Guetapan Collonges – Charlie Longsdon – Carlisle
Guetepan Collonges may just need his first race back and he has a big weight to carry on soft ground. He is the best horse in the field, but there are bigger objectives for him later on.

18/10/23 – 1st 7/2 – Red Hat Eagle – William Knight – Kempton Park
Annoyingly Red Hat Eagle has a wide draw but he's in his right class and was unlucky last time. He should run well if the draw doesn't prevent it.

18/10/23 – 1st 15/2 – Holkham Bay – William Knight – Kempton Park
I've taken the hood off Holkham Bay as it hasn't seemed to be helping him. He has a nice draw and is back down to a winnable mark, so hopefully a strong each-way chance for this fast horse.

18/10/23 – 1st Evens – Calvert – Roger Teal – Bath
Calvert has run to a reasonable level but is primarily a galloper so we're going up in trip today. It seems there's a storm coming in, so hopefully, he will cope with the ground if as expected it turns testing.

Typical Woman drops in class today. This is her ideal trip and I would expect her to run into the money if the horses were showing a little more.

16/10/23 – 1st 9/1 – Caragio – Roger Teal – Kempton Park

14/10/23 – 1st 17/2 – Bandit D’Ainay – Micky Hammond – Hexham
Bandit D'Ainay ran a better race than the finishing position might suggest last time, and we have to conclude he is better at 2m than further after that. He likes soft to heavy ground at 2m and that's what he's getting today. It's a shame there are only seven runners, but you might find a…

14/10/23 – 1st 3/1 – Universal Folly – Nicky Richards – Hexham
Universal Folly won two chases in early summer in small fields and we've given him a break since. He's ready to run and while he could find fitness stretching him a bit he can go close and will certainly improve for the outing.

14/10/23 – 2nd 28/1 – Witness Stand – Tom Clover – Newmarket

12/10/23 – 1st 15/8 – Aviewofthestars – Fergal O’Brien – Worcester
Aviewofthestars has been raised 6lb for her nice debut win for the stable at Plumpton last month but remains near the foot of this handicap. It's competitive, but she could win again although we wouldn't want too much rain.
