Hercules Morse made a promising start when third on career debut in a Ludlow hurdle but didn't progress in quite the way we expected next time around here. We like him, so we aren't losing faith in him yet. Each-way chance if he runs today as he works at home.

20/01/23 – 1st 7/2 – Liberated Lad – Ian Williams – Southwell
The horses are running better now and I think it's probably a good time for us to step Liberated Lad up to 1m6f. He stayed on well last time over 1m4f, not beaten far in 4th and off bottom weight in an ordinary contest, he has to go there with each-way chances.

20/01/23 – 2nd 7/2 – Spirit Of Light – Ian Williams – Meydan
Spirit Of Light had good form in the UAE last winter before joining us and as a result I campaigned him quite optimistically in top handicaps without much success, it must be said. His first run back here at the Carnival was very promising and now back to 7f, he looks well weighted at the…

19/01/23 – 2nd 4/1 – Bella Colorossa – J Best & K Jewell – Kempton Park
Bella Colorossa was comfortably beaten in a similar race but over a furlong further here two nights ago. She did win one of these over CD early last January but a place is probably the best we can hope for in this.

19/01/23 – 1st 13/2 – Buxted Too – Ian Williams – Kempton Park
Buxted Too ran well at Chelmsford over 1m2f two weeks ago, staying on again after getting outpaced. He stays this longer trip and should have each-way chances.

17/01/23 – 1st 15/2 – Now Then Wendy – Hughie Morrison – Southwell
We don't have many ex-bumper six-year-od mares running for us in novice events - the races are hard enough to find anyway - but Now Then Wendy was sent to see if she could do something. Her debut 4th over a mile ten months after her last bumper outing was encouraging, but whether she will…

16/01/23 – 2nd 5/1 – Leading Theatre – Fergal O’Brien – Hereford
Leading Theatre has been going the right way over hurdles. She has a big weight again but still gets a few pounds from the favourite who has much less experience. Should go well if coping with the most testing surface she's raced on.

16/01/23 – 1st 4/1 – Zestful Hope – Charlie Longsdon – Hereford
I'm looking forward to running Zestful Hope. He goes well round here where he's 2 for 2 and doesn't mind soft ground either. Hopeful.

14/01/23 – 1st 7/4 – Glimpse Of Gala – Charlie Longsdon – Warwick
Glimpse Of Gala remains in great form after her Kempton win and shoiuld enjoy the trip and ground. It's a big step up in class but with two non-runners, she only has to beat one to qualify for the final of this series at Cheltenham.

14/01/23 – 1st 3/1 – Master Sully – Roger Teal – Lingfield
We've had an awful morning with horses getting loose on the gallops and running though fences. I thought yesterday was supposed to be Friday the 13th! We're trying to find out a bit about Master Sully whose owner has a horse with us already and he asked me to see whether we could do anything…

10/01/23 – 1st 85/40 – Heros De Romay – Kim Bailey – Exeter
It might be dark by the time they run this race! Heros De Romay is a big, backward gelding who has taken time. This track should suit and it is all about how good the favourite is. We are really hopeful he can run well and be placed or better.

10/01/23 – 3rd 25/1 – Pertemps Diamond – Ian Williams – Doncaster
Pertemps Diamond showed promise in his junior bumper at Huntingdon. In a big field I am expecting improvement and hopefully he has a small each-way chance.

10/01/23 – 1st 12/1 – Hidden Beauty – Fergal O’Brien – Doncaster
Hidden Beauty found it hard going in testing ground at Uttoxeter. Conditions should be much less demanding today and based on her good bumper form, she looks a good value each-way price. Can be placed.

07/01/23 – 3rd 5/1 – Hurlerontheditch – Kim Bailey – Chepstow
Hurlerontheditch is a stunning horse. He ran a blinder at Bangor last season but that was to be his only run. This looks competitive and we would be delighted to see him finish in the first four after 15 months off the track.

07/01/23 – 1st 7/2 – Moonlighter – Kim Bailey – Chepstow
Moonlighter is not the easiest horse to ride and Ciaran Gethings has a go on him having jumped him at home. He has the ability to win this.

06/01/23 – 1st 10/1 – Lordsbridge Girl – William Knight – Kempton Park
Lordsbridge Girl had been in good form recently but last time at Southwell she got too far behind and could never peg back the leaders. She wasn't beaten far in the end though and it will be easier for her to stay in contention on this track. Unfortunately she is drawn wide but she should…

06/01/23 – 1st 6/1 – Knocknamona – Micky Hammond – Newcastle
Knocknamona always needs a couple of runs to get him going every season and that was the case before he won this race last year. He's getting older so might not be quite as good, but with conditions in his favour on a track he loves he must have each-way chances. He's professionally ridden today…

06/01/23 – 1st 6/1 – Hurricane Harvey – Fergal O’Brien – Ludlow
After coming back to form with a win over hurdles at Uttoxeter following his disappointing spell over fences, Hurricane Harvey ought to make a bold bid off 6lb higher here. Four non-runners will ease his task. Big chance.

06/01/23 – 1st 20/1 – Enemy – Ian Williams – Meydan
Enemy was in brilliant form here last year and carried that over to the UK. It tailed off a shade and we've given him a wind-op. He is likely to improve for the run but he was very capable on this track and a positive performance would not be too much of a surprise.
