It's a tough race but Dartman is in good shape and has a very good each-way chance. He has plenty of speed so coming back a furlong in distance should not be a problem and he has come on for the reappearance run.

Many A Year is a 4yo who for various reasons didn't get onto the racecourse until two weeks ago. He showed some promise then, but still has plenty to learn about racing.

Golden Maverick has been enjoying an exceptional year and does seem very much on an upward curve. It's not guaranteed that he'll handle this soft ground but he won on good to soft at Wetherby at the start of his winning run and it will help that he stays so strongly.

Odd Venture is only low grade on the flat but he has been running well at his level, his last-time 3rd suggesting he might be improving. He has a bit to find with one or two in this Classified stakes but he has a good draw, he will handle the ground and Aiden takes off…

This looks competitive for the grade. This will be Lady Glen's first run for us and we hope she will go close.

Cheltenam De Vaige is better known as a hunter chaser but while he has never been as good over hurdles, this could offer each-way chances on a return to the yard after his last pointing stint.

It's the wrong way round for Glorious Zoff but he's in great form. and it's worth the risk for such a nice prize. He could run well.

Castel Gandolfo is solid as a rock in these big-field handicap hurdles. He got a deserved win at Hexham in May and is always to be feared. Each-way chance as ever.

Surrey Charm makes her stable debut and also has her first run for almost a year. I'll be surprised if she doesn't need the outing.

We bought Police Academy out of the Oliver Sherwood stable at the May sale. She has been going well and we hope she can run a big race.
