Hermes Le Gris has been running disappointingly over hurdles and as a result, his handicap mark has plummeted. Hopefully, the chance to run in his first chase off the much-reduced rating is interesting. He schools okay and if he takes to jumping fences he will be dangerous.

Kingfast bolted up the other day in a conditionals' race and is unpenalised. He does carry plenty of weight here but that should not be a problem.

Mystic Man runs in a novice handicap chase over 2m4f. He had a disappointing time last winter but was hindered by wind issues along with other minor problems. This will be his first chase but he has run in five point-to-points, winning one, so his jumping is good. Hopeful.

Gentleman Valley won at Uttoxeter in September but has struggled a bit since. He needs to find more to figure here although the rider's 10lb claim will be a big help.

Young Buster is made for fences. He is very well at present and while he may not be able to cope with the favourite on these terms, we expect him to run a big race.

Surtitle didn't measure up to his useful novice form in three runs last season. We will be looking for improvement from today.

Hopefully the switch to fences is the key for Heneryetta Bay, who has schooled well at home. Track and ground should suit.

We run two here and they dominate the market. Blue Bikini heads the wights having been put up 6lb for an emphatic win last time at Markt Rasen. Forcing tactics worked that day and could well be employed again, hopefully for a similar result.

Point winner Catuaba has been a shade disappointing s far but now starts handicapping on a modest mark. The better ground at Warwick should be to his liking and running against ordinary handicappers will be more appetising than struggling against classy novices. Chances.
