Hermes Le Gris has been running disappointingly over hurdles and as a result, his handicap mark has plummeted. Hopefully, the chance to run in his first chase off the much-reduced rating is interesting. He schools okay and if he takes to jumping fences he will be dangerous.

15/05/23 – 1st 8/11 – Kingfast – Fergal O’Brien – Southwell
Kingfast bolted up the other day in a conditionals' race and is unpenalised. He does carry plenty of weight here but that should not be a problem.

15/05/23 – 1st 13/2 – Mystic Man – Oliver Sherwood – Southwell
Mystic Man runs in a novice handicap chase over 2m4f. He had a disappointing time last winter but was hindered by wind issues along with other minor problems. This will be his first chase but he has run in five point-to-points, winning one, so his jumping is good. Hopeful.

12/05/23 – 1st 17/2 – Gentleman Valley – Ben Pauling – Warwick
Gentleman Valley won at Uttoxeter in September but has struggled a bit since. He needs to find more to figure here although the rider's 10lb claim will be a big help.

12/05/23 – 1st 11/8 – Young Buster – Fergal O’Brien – Warwick
Young Buster is made for fences. He is very well at present and while he may not be able to cope with the favourite on these terms, we expect him to run a big race.

12/05/23 -1st 8/1 – I Spy A Diva – Kim Bailey – Warwick
This looks a tough race. I Spy A Diva ran a blinder at Cheltenham but was shoved up 5lb for that run. The form has been boosted since and she will run her usual good race and again could be placed.

11/05/33 – 1st 33/1 – Zinc White – Ian Williams – Chester
Zinc White was a very expensive purchase at the pre-Ascot sale in Central London two years ago after two wide-margin wins for Ralph Beckett. He ran only once since, pulling up in a hurdle race before being due to run in this race last year and unable to through lameness. The trip is an unknown…

11/05/23 – 1st 11/2 – Kingfast – Fergal O’Brien – Market Rasen
When Kingfast, a 58-rated flat racer, first arrived here from Tom Symonds, considering his ordinary non-winning form over jumps, a hurdles mark of 112 looked very harsh. In three runs here this spring he has shown very little. Now, though, a full 20lb lower, and with Jack Hogan taking off 5lb, this looks a better…

11/05/23 – 3rd 66/1 – Court In The Act – Oliver Sherwood – Huntingdon
Court In The Act ran respectably on an unsuitable surface at Wincanton on his bumper debut. We declared him on good to firm but it chucked it down before the race, so on watered ground it became desperate. It was sloppy so he sort of coped with it but he has a proper good ground…

Surtitle didn't measure up to his useful novice form in three runs last season. We will be looking for improvement from today.

Hopefully the switch to fences is the key for Heneryetta Bay, who has schooled well at home. Track and ground should suit.

10/05/22 – 1st 4/1 – Sirobbie – Ian Williams – Fontwell Park
Sirobbie ran well when 2nd at Ludlow in January, but has been struggling a bit since. This is an easier target than for some time. Each-way chances.

10/05/22 -1st 7/2 – Mays Hill – Fergal O’Brien – Fontwell Park
Mays Hill made a promising start in a bumper on the Lingfield Polytrack but struggled against better company at Newbury. This could be more her level and her experience gives her a nice chance of getting over the line.

04/05/23 – 1st 9/2 – Tigerten – Ian Williams – Salisbury
Tigerten has not shown us much in two flat runs and last time in a hurdle, since joining the yard. His mark has come down and maybe in-form Rossa Ryan will bring out the best in him. Hopeful rather than confident.

02/05/23 – 1st 17/2 – One For Bobby – Hughie Morrison – Nottingham
The owners moved One For Bobby from Ireland citing fewer opportunities and stern opposition for fillies of her level. She's been working nicely here and while in the past she has worn a tongue-tie, we've found she doesn't need one although maybe after the race she might! I'd be disappointed if she wasn't in the…

01/05/23 – 1st 7/1 – Blue Bikini – Fergal O’Brien – Warwick
We run two here and they dominate the market. Blue Bikini heads the wights having been put up 6lb for an emphatic win last time at Markt Rasen. Forcing tactics worked that day and could well be employed again, hopefully for a similar result.

01/05/23 – 1st 6/1 – Catuaba – Charlie Longsdon – Warwick
Point winner Catuaba has been a shade disappointing s far but now starts handicapping on a modest mark. The better ground at Warwick should be to his liking and running against ordinary handicappers will be more appetising than struggling against classy novices. Chances.
