Elham Valley turns out again quickly after a poor effort at Cheltenham. He's been racing prominently lately and maybe that doesn't suit him. Whatever the rights and wrongs of that, he simply needs to do better.

Line Of Descent has been freshened up well from his latest run at Plumpton eight weeks ago, The step up in trip should be to his liking. We expect him to run another good race.

Carrigeen Kampala is a lovely mare who will be having her first run following her winter holiday. She has the potential to run well at this level.

Luckie Seven did all that was expected of him when winning at Doncaster five weeks ago and we think he's a fair horse. He has a penalty in a decent race but I'm hopeful he can prove up to the task.

Renoir is bred to be effective at shorter distances but he is not very quick, so we're starting him in a junior bumper. It will be interesting to see how he shapes with maybe the Nathaniel part of his pedigree coming through.

Isaac Shelby has been working well and is in very good shape. Chaldean could easily be the superstar of the season, so we'll do our own thing rather than worry about him and hopefully, Isaac will run well and get in the frame.

Icy Dip ran out a convincing winner of a novice around here in the autumn. She starts on what might be a fair mark of 72 and unless there are one or two that have improved markedly over the winter, she should have her chance.

Captain Cattistock won this race 12 months ago. We already knew he had stamina well beyond this trip and last time at Musselburgh was 2nd in a valuable chase over just short of 4m. Big chance of a repeat.

This is a competitive race but it should help that we claim 7lb for the regular partner. He's in very good order and hopefully can run well.

Devasboy rocketed out of the gates at Doncaster on stable debut and was always doing too much in the middle of the course in a big field. If Charlie, who can claim 3lb on the flat, can get him covered in the pack he could come through late to get into the argument.

Clever Relation has had a few issues but he goes okay and as a son of Sweet Sensation, our Cesarewitch winner, we expect he will stay further in time. We've done well in early-season 10f 3yo races here in the past and as nothing much seems to have been happening in the market, I'm wondering…
