We've run Fantasy Master twice since he joined us in the spring. He had a break before last month's run at Kempton when he was hampered at the start. He will be straighter now but I'm not sure the fast ground will be ideal.

27/09/22 – 1st 6/1 – Pearl Eye – Darryll Holland – Wolverhampton
Pearl Eye showed a little promise on debut at Windsor, but next time at Newmarket, less so as he pulled hard. We changed the bit for his all-weather debut at Chelmsford and he was staying on well at the finish. His breeding suggests this 7f will suit and if he can overcome his wide draw…

27/09/22 – 1st 28/1 – Kajaki – Nicky Richards – Sedgefield
Kajaki ran no sort of race at Perth and all I can think of is that he and his young rider didn't gell on the day. He is a funny horse anyway but he has won around Sedgefield - you know it's not my favourite - and this is a prize worth winning. He's definitely…

27/09/22 – 1st 5/1 – Onenightintown – Micky Hammond – Sedgefield
Onenightintown jumps fences well enough and seems to go best for Becky. Stepping back up to the trip over which he has won before, this small field should be to his liking. He gets lumps of weight from three of these, so a win would not be unexpected.

26/09/22 – 3rd 17/2 – Alnitak – Kim Bailey – Newton Abbot
Alnitak disappointed in his bumper a year ago but has been given a long break in preparation for going hurdling. A very likeable horse who should go close.

26/09/22 – 1st 5/2 – It’s Chico Time – Roger Teal – Ffos Las
It's Chico Time has been a little frustrating but he ran better than it looked the last day at Windsor. The extra furlong and soft ground on this galloping track might help produce a better showing today.

26/09/22 – 3rd 8/1 – Right Destination – Fergal O’Brien – Newton Abbot
Right Destination has been very disappointing on the whole but this is an extremely low level. If the first-time blinkers help he might have a chance to break his duck at the 25th attempt.

24/09/22 – 1st 11/4 – Alwajd – Ian Williams – Chelmsford
A winner over a mile at Lingfield, Alwajd spoilt her chance of a follow-up with a slow start at Wolverhampton. I think she'll stay the 1m2f in which case she would have a favourite's chance.

24/09/22 – 2nd 9/2 – Buxted Reel – Ian Williams – Chelmsford
Buxted Reel belatedly gained a first victory at Wolverhampton two runs back but did not really build on that at Kempton. At this level he will always be a contender and this is another decent opportunity for this fairly handicapped horse.

24/09/22 – 3rd 12/1 – Dual Identity – William Knight – Newmarket
Dual Identity ran a very good race at Sandown, staying on into second behind Protagonist after coming from a long way back. He's in great form at home and I hope the low draws are favoured as that side of the track seemed the place to be yesterday.

23/09/22 – 1st 10/11 – Anightinlambourn – Ben Pauling – Worcester
If Anightinlambourn is in the same form as last time - and I think she is! - then she ought to follow up here in this mares' chase.

23/09/22 – 1st 7/4 – Rogue Spirit – Tom Clover – Haydock
It didn't look as though Rogue Spirit lasted the six furlongs at York last time. This race looks ideal for him and he should have a decent chance.

21/09/22 – 2nd 9/2. – Silverscape – Roger Teal – Kempton Park
Silverscape makes life difficult for himself with his slow starts but always finishes well. If Freddie can get him animated early from his good draw he would have to have a big chance on a track where he is a previous winner.

21/09/22 – 1st 10/1 – Mr Beaufort – Tom Clover – Goodwood
Mr Beaufort ran well over course and distance in May before disappointing at Haydock. He's had wind surgery and seems in good form at home. Sometimes it takes a run or two following a wind-op for them to regain their confidence.

21/09/22 – 1st 6/1 – Alcazan – Roger Teal – Goodwood
Alcazan ran well at Newmarket on Saturday and while it's a little soon, her owner was keen for her to take her chance. She's yet to win on grass but as long as it's not too soft she could go close.

20/09/22 – 1st 15/8 – Sophosc – Ian Williams – Warwick
Sophosc won well first time over jumps at Plumpton when he needed to overcome having been stopped in his tracks by a faller two from home. The penalty will not be easy, but he's a tough sort who has clearly improved since on the level and is in the right race. Favourite's chance.

18/09/22 – 1st 9/5 – Special Buddy – Ben Pauling – Plumpton
Special Buddy won a couple of points in the summer and probably needed his first run back under Rules the other day. He is nicely weighted and should be ready to take advantage now.

17/09/22 – 2ns 18/1 – Celsius – Tom Clover – Newmarket
Celsius had a fibrillating heart the last day at Goodwood but he has been cleared by the vets and seems in great form. Six furlongs is a question mark but it's worth a try and the Rowley Mile course really suits him.

17/09/22 – 1st 5/1 – Stay Alert – Hughie Morrison – Newbury
Stay Alert has shown her best form on this track and if she could repeat anything like her excellent second to Nashwa earlier in the year she would go close against the colts today. If she runs well we have the fillies' race on Champions Day in mind for her. Hoping for a big run.

16/09/22 – 1st 7/2 – Crystallium – Tom Clover – Newbury
Crystallium is a very nice filly who won very well on debut. She has to gve weight all round but there aren't many options for her and she's ready to run. We'll learn something from today and hopefully she will emerge with credit.
