Acrion overcame inexperience with a nice performance at Lingfield and has a great chance to defy his penalty tonight. The obvious danger has solid form but has been off for some time so I have to be hopeful.

18/03/22 – 5th 28/1 – Party Business – Ian Williams – Cheltenham
Party Business only just got into this race but i think he has a great each-way chance. Two runs ago he was coming to challenge Stage Star two out in the Challow Hurdle when coming down. Then at Warwick he started favourite against Stag Hall but was struck into and fell away late on. He's…

18/03/22 – 1st 4/1 – Manothepeople – Fergal O’Brien – Doncaster
Although Manothepeople won nicely when well backed at Huntingdon it always looked almost as if he was playing rather than racing around that sharp track. Doncaster should bring out his undoubted stamina off only 6lb higher.

18/03/22 – 1st 11/2 – Parc D’Amour – Kim Bailey – Doncaster
Parc D'Amour has taken an age to come together and there was a time when I thought he might not see a racecourse this season. A lovely-looking horse, he will improve for the experience but I am hopefull of a very bold showing.

17//03/22 – 1st 25/1 – Third Wind – Hughie Morrison – Cheltenham
The rain will not have harmed the chance of Third Wind who like quite a few in this race comes here with very little good recent form. On his best performances he ought to finish in the money as he is on the same mark of 141 as when he was fourth in this two…

16/03/22 – 1st 13/2 – Anightinlambourn – Ben Pauling – Huntingdon
Anightinlambourn ran well for a long way before fading late on her chase debut but then got only as far as the second fence last time. If she can brush up her jumping I still believe there is a future for her over fences.

16/03/22 – 1st 28/1 – Global Citizen – Ben Pauling – Cheltenham
Global Citizen has been hurdling this season to get back his confidence and his third to Goshen last time at Sandown was creditable. Back over fences a long way below his earlier mark when he was a high-class novice, he could go well at what looks an insulting price.

16/03/22 – 1st 11/2 – Haas Boy – Charlie Longsdon – Huntingdon
Haas Boy showed plenty of ability in his bumpers but at Doncaster last time he hung all over the place. He needs to grow up and I think the hurdles will help him concentrate. It's a competitive race but he should be right there at the finish with a decent chance of winning.

15/03/22 – 1st 7/2 – Desaray Girl – Micky Hammond – Sedgefield
Desaray Girl is up in the weights after her two good recent wins since reverting to hurdles, but is still miles below her earlier rating. The favourite looks a big threat but now she has her confidence back our mare holds every chance of another good performance.

14/03/22 – 1st 11/1 – Sparkle In His Eye – Micky Hammond – Wolverhampton
Sparkle In His Eye won twice and then seemed to find a longerr trip last time taxing his stamina. Back to seven furlongs and from an okay draw, albeit 3lb higher, he should run his race but there are one or two that look dangerous.

This track should be ideal for Feel The Pinch. He has been making gradual improvement and that progress puts him in this race with each-way claims.

11/03/22 – 1st 4/1 – Big Bad Bear – Nicky Richards – Newcastle
Big Bad Bear found the ground much too soft last time at Uttoxeter but he did not run too badly the time before. His mark has come down a long way and on this better surface I would not be surprised if he bounced back to form.

The ground may be drying up a little too much for Pride Of Lecale but he remains in good form. Hopeful of a place at least.

11/03/22 – 1st 9/4 – Freethinker – Charlie Longsdon – Newcastle
If Freethinker is in the same form he showed last time over this course when he won going away then he should not be troubled by the 8lb rise or the slightly longer trip. With the ground to his liking we had to go for it. Big chance of the follow-up.

10/03/22 – 2nd 33/1 – Trevelyn’s Corn – Micky Hammond – Carlisle

08/03/22 – 1st 5/2 – Geryville – Micky Hammond – Newcastle
Geryville has a pronounced round action but for all that he moves well so the ground may not prove to be a problem. We will be making more use of him in this three-horse race - the obvious favourite pulling out is a bonus - and hopefully he will take advantage of the weight he…

07/03/22 -1st 7/1 – Ardmayle – Ali Stronge – Southwell
Ardmayle has been a shade disappointing in his last few runs. He tired and checked out two from home after travelling very well at Exeter and seemed to be catching his breath so we're fitting a tongue-tie. He's dropped a fair way in the weights and apart from the favourite this isn't the greatest race.…
