Reelemin did well last year winning a couple of nurseries, the second on soft ground at Pontefract. He would prefer the ground to be softer here today but we are hoping for a positive return to action.

Becky The Boo has been quite disappointing and not really finishing off her races. Our big hope is that she might actually need this longer trip but it is a risky proposition.

Aviewtosea has been disappointing all year but as a result is down to a workable mark. He jumps fences well so hopefully in this small field he can get back to form.

After her promising run here last time, Stay Alert had the choice of this Listed race, which is often weakly-contested due to its proximity to Royal Ascot, or the  Ribblesdale. This could end up being the tougher race. If she maintains the progress then she will have her chance, but dangers lurk!

Fellowship hasn't shown us much so far and first time in a handicap he is probably best watched even from his very low mark.

We'll be monitoring the ground before Frankelio's race to see whether it's safe for him. We seem to catch his races when the soft ground disappears. If he does run he is very capable of out-performing his odds from the foot of this handicap.

Fast Tuttle, by Fast Company, showed his inexperience on debut at Leicester two weeks ago. We will be looking for improvement on this second outing.

Lyrical Lady made a promising comeback when second at Nottingham last month. She gets plenty of weight from these fillies and there might not be much between her and Delta Bay at the finish - especially if the other filly runs a more measured race today.

Fiftyshadesresdev ran a blinder when second in a big field, finishing strongly over seven furlongs at York. He reverts to a mile on a track where he has run well a couple of times in the past. The 5lb rise will not be a help but he will not mind the ground even if it…

Golden Taipan has seemed to develop increased stamina with age and he has always been a consistent performer. This is a tricky little race but on much of his form and this suitable ground he is probably the one to beat.

Black Kalanisi's previous win on the level came on all-weather in easier company over the winter. He returns in very good form and should enjoy the track. His light-weight and the services of Silvestre De Sousa are not to be under-estimated either.  

Oscar Montel was doing well over fences last summer but his form has slipped a little and two runs over hurdles have not arrested the slide. He resumes chasing off a lower mark and we're trying a first-time visor to see if that brings any improvement.

Northern Bound had a productive spell in the late summer/autimn and probably needed his comeback run at Kempton. He looks nicely placed in this handicap to resume his winning ways.

Cu Chulainn almost fell when slipping on the bend at Lingfield earlier in the week. Fortunately he was none the worse for that and he might have a small each-way chance here.

Mumma Mac has had her three runs and shaped better last time at Wolverhampton. She starts handicapping on a fair mark and may not be far away in this open-looking contest.

Rory And Me would win this on his best form and he seems to be in a good place at home. He won two bumpers around here and 2m2f on this track could be right up his street.

Kingston Sunflower was generally disappointing in France. She was pulled up on stable debut after more than a year off the track and we are hoping that a first-time hood might bring some improvement.
