We're pretty much forced to run Delvey back just four days after Chelmsford. The system is so unfair and here we are faced with a £1.45 milllion Godolphin newcomer and a Gosden horse that looks very hard to beat on its debut third to a stable-companion on the track. I'm hopeful that once we get…

31/10/22 – 1st 8/11 – Marble Sands – Fergal O’Brien – Hereford
We'll check the ground first but if Marble Sands does run he will be very hard to beat. His Sandown second in the Grade 3 EBPF Final on Imperial Cup day puts him ahead of these both on form and experience. While it's an interesting maiden hurdle, he should win it.

30/10/22 – 2nd 18/1 – Applaus – Micky Hammond – Carlisle
Applaus went okay for the first half of his comeback run under a very inexperienced rider and will be much straighter in condition. The race will now be on the outer (flat) track and he won it two years ago. His hurdles mark is a long way lower than his chase figure and Billy Geraghty,…

30/10/22 – 1st 3/1 – Houston Texas – Nicky Richards – Carlisle
I've been mulling over what to do about Houston Texas - I'm sitting on him as we speak - as the chase track unbelievably is only good to soft. He also wants proper soft ground as he's a great big horse, but in his favour are his two wins over course and distance on his…

30/10/22 – 1st 2/1 – Fils De Roi – Fergal O’Brien – Huntingdon
We got Fils Du Roi from France after he won a claiming hurdle at Auteuil. He's a cracking little horse who jumps great. We are learning about the ground but he should go very close.

29/10/22 – 3rd 13/2 – Lawful Command – Brian Meehan – Newmarket
The going will be perfect for Lawful Command who goes well fresh and runs the track very well. Hopeful of another big performance.

29/10/22 – 3rd 66/1 – Tommy Cullen – Charlie Longsdon – Wetherby
Tommy Cullen has a good way of going and in some respects I'm surprised he's such a big price. That said, I think Ben's will be hard to beat on that Irish point run.

28/10/22 – 1st 6/1 – Malakahna – Ian Williams – Newmarket
Malakahna is prorbably our best chance of a winner today. She was very gutsy when winning at Ascot last time and Callum Hutchinson takes the 5lb off again. She's in great form and looks a decent each-way shout up 3lb in a strong handicap.

28/10/22 – 1st 6/4 – Parisencore – Nicky Richards – Wetherby
Parisencore is a nice horse who progressed to win a couple in the spring. He has improved physically for his break and looks absolutely brilliant. He should run well today and we're looking forward to a good season with him.

28/10/22 – 1st 5/1 – Miss Milano – Nicky Richards – Wetherby
Miss Milano is sort of consistent but she is what she is. She's a game little thing and I think we will win a race or two with her over the winter, possibly not today, but we live in hope.

27/10/22 – 3rd 16/1 – Hercules Morse – Ben Pauling – Worcester
Hercules Morse is a lovely big, backward youngster by Blue Bresil who makes his debut here. He isn't really a bumper type so we're going straight over hurdles with him. This is tough as it often is at Worcester but I expect him to run a nice race.

27/10/22 – 3rd 20/1 – Red Hat Eagle – William Knight – Lingfield
Red Hat Eagle is a nice colt by Gleneages. He has been shaping well on the gallops and we like him. He's worth a small each-way bet on debut but it looks a competitive race.

27/10/22 – 1st 11/8 – Couldbeaweapon – Ben Pauling – Worcester
Couldbeaweapon really ought to be winning this. He was an excellent second first time in a handicap and that has brought him on. Big chance.

26/10/22 – 1st 9/4 – Blazeon Five – Roger Teal – Kempton Park
Blazeon Five put up a much-improved performance stepping up to two miles here for the first time. She had a couple of lengths in hand of runner-up Stiletto but has potential to improve again and I think she can confirm the form although 4lb worse off tonight.

26/10/22 – 1st 7/4 – Lelabad – William Knight – Kempton Park
The fact that this race was divided has made it less competitive than usual with only nine runners rather than a full field. Lelabad clearly enjoyed going around a bend at Chelmsford last time and he looks the one to beat off 3lb higher here.

26/10/22 – 1st 9/2 – Palace Boy – Fergal O’Brien – Chepstow
It's more than two years since Palace Boy had his last run on the flat in Germany, but he won it very easily. He is a half-brother to the recently-retired Tony Mullins mare Princess Zoe and has loads of ability but his jumping is taking time. One to follow.

25/10/22 – 1st 5/2 – Manothepeople – Fergal O’Brien – Chepstow
We've had to pull out Manofthepeople from a few races owing to firm ground so he has been ready to run for a while. He's in great form and this looks a good starting point for him over fences. A clear round is the most important issue for today but he ought to be involved…

25/10/22 – 1st 100/30 – Nothin To Ask – Fergal O’Brien – Chepstow
Nothin To Ask is in great form and won a maiden hurdle here last season on soft going. It's a good race for his first attempt in a chase but if he handles today's ground he could go close.

25/10/22 – 1st 10/1 – Realisation – Charlie Longsdon – Bangor

25/10/22 – 1st 15/8 – Chianti Classico – Kim Bailey – Chepstow
This a very interesting race with many very likeable horses involved. Chianti Classico won his bumper well at Market Rasen having finished a very creditable second at Ascot. This former Irish point winner is made for the job and although we might not beat the favourite trained by Paul Nicholls we will certainly try to.
