Indianapolis would have picked up this lot and carried them a year or two ago, but he's been on a slippery slope and it's hard to arrest such a decline. We have tried front running a couple of times and maybe in this smaller field it could be the way to go. Obviously chances and…

11/08/22 – 1st 20/1 – Cordey Dancer – Fergal O’Brien – Ffos Las
Cordey Dancer showed some ability on the flat in France two years ago but less so last year and she has been a big disappointment over hurdles since joining us. Today should tell us whether she has any potential as a flat-race handicapper at this low level.

09/09/22 – 1st 100/30 – Kingdom Girl – William Knight – Yarmouth
Kingdom Girl has been knocking on the door and was unlucky at Nottingam, denied a run at a crucial stage. Afterwards Martin Harley suggested we step her up to a mile-and-a-quarter and with the ground no problem, we have to be very hopeful.

09/08/22 – 1st 15/8 – Haymaker – Hughie Morrison – Ffos Las
Haymaker ran very well at Pontefract last time, just levelling off close home. We've taken the tongue-tie off and in this small field he must have every chance off the same mark.

07/08/22 – 1st 11/4 – Sarsons Risk – Ian Williams – Leicester
The trip was too far for Sarsons Risk at Doncaster last time and this is a more suitable assignment. In his previous race here he was denied a clear run and still wasn't beaten far. He is in great form at home and looks reasonably handicapped.

06/08/22 – 3rd 16/1 – Mottisfont – Hughie Morrison – Newmarket
When you win first time out with a two-year-old filly, you either send it to Newmarket to carry a 7lb penalty against three Godolphin fillies in a novice or have a go as we are today. Mottisfont did well to win at Ffos Las and as a half-sister to Romsey who was fourth in this…

06/08/22 – 1st 5/1 – Alwajd – Ian Williams – Lingfield
Alwajd made a big step forward with a strong-finishing second in a 0-50 Classified at Southwell 12 days ago. Her rating remains unchanged on 50 and she should be capable of opening her account this afternoon,

04/08/22 – 2nd 13/2 – Thebeautifulgame – Tom Clover – Nottingham
Thebeautifulgame doesn't have any secrets from the handicapper but she's very game. Hopefully the step up to 1m2f will eke out some improvement.

04/08/22 – 1st 7/4 – Percy Jones – Hughie Morrison – Brighton
So far we've been keeping Percy Jones away from fast ground so this is something of an experiment. He ran on well from an unpromising position at Haydock in a better race last time so if he handles the ground and track he would have a good chance.

04/08/22 . 1st 2/1 – Rogue Storm – Tom Clover – Yarmouth
Rogue Storm should be winning off this mark. She ran well the last day from a horrible draw and should go well in this weak affair.

03/08/22 – 2nd 9/1 – Dynamic Talent – Darryll Holland – Kempton Park
Dynamic Talent won well around here in the spring, making all and drawing clear. Things haven't quite gone right for him in his two runs since but he's in good form now and a return to Kempton could bring the desired result.

03/08/22 – 2nd 11/1 – Quoteline Direct – Micky Hammond – Pontefract
Quoteline Direct needs all the help he can get and the vastly-experienced Freddie Tett will give him excellent assistance from the saddle. Freddie phoned for the ride en route from Italy after riding there at the weekend and hopefully Quoteline will run to his best.

03/08/22 – 3rd 16/1 – Legendary Day – Hughie Morrison – Kempton Park
Legendary Day has been disappointing but then he had a fibrillating heart last year and that cannot have helped. We need soft ground for him on turf, so he's here instead and we hope he can finish in the money.

01/08/22 – 3rd 28/1 – Gatwick Kitten – Ali Stronge – Carlisle
It's a long way to Carlisle but Gatwick Kitten runs as he gives his owner a chance to ride at this all-female meeting. He was a good second last time at Leicester when professionally ridden and now is a couple of pounds out of the weights. Not an easy task but he generally runs his…

01/08/22 – 3rd 20/1 – Ailish T – Fergal O’Brien – Carlisle
Two tough tasks for Fern against professional female jockeys but two nice rides. Ailish T didn't run too badly last time and looks nicely weighted. Place prospects.

31/07/22 – 2nd 10/1 – Brickadank – Micky Hammond – Market Rasen
Brickadank has been off for a while but he has been working very well at home and we think he will outrun his odds today. We are hoping he might sneak into a place although to expect anything more about a lowly-rated 16-race maiden is optimistic indeed.

31/07/22 – 1st 11/4 – Landen Calling – Fergal O’Brien – Market Rasen
Landen Calling has been running consistently since going over longer trips. We take 7lb off his big weight and there is no reason why he should not go close again.

31/07/22 – 1st 8/11 – Pencreek – Ben Pauling – Market Rasen
Pencreek could hardly have won more easily at Stratford three days ago and looks sure to go up by at least 7lb in Tuesday's new ratings. We're claiming 7lb with Dylan rather than Luca's 3lb to help offset the penalty. If in the same form he should go in again, but there's always a worry…
