Sister Michael put in an improved performance last time when given the chance to race on better ground. Hopefully she can build on that and go close again.

07/05/22 – 1st 6/1 – Saint Riquier – Ian Williams – Warwick
Nothing went right for Saint Riquier at Aintree but he still ran a race that could easily have brought a rise in his mark of 120. Off that figure in this much less competitive event, he has to have a big chance.

07/05/22 – 1st 15/2 – Rogue Millennium – Tom Clover – Lingfield
Rogue Millennium lines up for an open-looking Oaks Trial at Lingfield. On the figures she has a chance.and she looks well. She hasn't done much since her nice debut win at Wetherby but she should enjoy the step up in distance. Looking forward very much to her big day.

06/05/22 – 1st 6/4 – School Days Over – Fergal O’Brien – Market Rasen
School Days Over is a lovely type who ran well when placed in his two Irish points. He should be in at the business end and warrants each-way support.

06/05/22 – 1st 17/2 – Gerard Mentor – Kim Bailey – Market Rasen
This is a very suitable race for Gerard Mentor. We have the best conditional jockey and now he has to try and win on him. He has to be held up until the last minute and that is not easy. Last time a front runner went so far ahead he could never get to him.…

05/05/22 – 1st 5/1 – Rhebus Road – Oliver Sherwood – Huntingdon
Rhebus Road will be much happier on the better ground. I've been very pleased with him at home and I think he goes there with a live chance as long as there's not something hidden.

05/05/22 – 1st 20/1 – De Barley Basket – Ben Pauling – Worcester
De Barley Basket was progressing nicely over fences, winning twice before his campaign was curtailed with a disappointing pulled up effort at Leicester 17 months ago. He returns still on a competitive mark and it will be good to get him going again. Looking for promise for the coming months.

05/05/22 – 1st 9/2 – Nazwa – Oliver Sherwood – Huntingdon
Nazwa has been frustrating. He's usually placed but you always feel he has a little more to give. He had a wind-op before his last run and they often take an outing to appreciate the benefit. We're adding cheek-pieces and hoping the longer trip will suit. He goes there with an each-way squeak if everything…

04/05/22 – 1st 11/10 – Dhowin – Warren Greatrex – Fontwell Park
Dhowin has been very unlucky not to have won a race over fences yet. We hope he can put that situation right by giving away the weight all round this evening.

03/05/22 – 3rd 22/1 – Shockwaves – Hughie Morrison – Lingfield
Shockwaves showed promise on his debut in a warm Newbury novice race. He has been going along nicely and we will be looking for further progress in what appears another decent contest here today.

03/05/22 – 1st 16/1 – Balkotic – Micky Hammond – Sedgefield
I probably prefer the chance of Howzat Hiris to Balkotic in this marathon but the latter was not stopping at the end of 2m5f around Pontefract three weeks ago. This is another step up in trip but he should be able to cope with it.

03/05/22 – 1st 6/1 – Ajay’s Ways – Fergal O’Brien – Fakenham
Ajay's Ways produced a strong finish to deny today's top-weight Dubai Guest over course and distance in January but has shown nothing like that since, including on a return visit to this course. We can only hope he can reproduce the earlier form.

Tom Clover
Tom – and his family – have been around horses most of their lives. He rode in point-to-points as a young man and, after gaining a diploma from the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester, started out as a pupil assistant with jumps trainer Charlie Longsdon. Tom soon stepped up to assistant trainer as the operation…

02/05/22 – 1st 8/1 – Yauthym – Fergal O’Brien – Kempton Park
Yauthym is a consistent mare but since she won easily at Hereford four runs back she has struggled with her higher mark. She will probably be there with a chance turning for home but from then it is always a question of whether she has the stamina for the run home.

02/05/22 – 1st 5/2 – Rogue Spirit – Tom Clover – Beverley
Rogue Spirit has done some nice work and while he is bred to get further he shows speed. He's well drawn and is up to winning one of these but he will come on for the run.

02/05/ 22 – 1st 11/8 – Stoner’s Choice – Fergal O’Brien – Kempton Park
Stoner's Choice has plenty of ability but has never been the best jumper of hurdles. We are not totally confident that he will improve over fences or that he will be an out-and-out chaser for that matter.

01/05/22 – 1st 100/30 – Haymaker – Hughie Morrison – Newmarket
Haymaker ran well in his juvenile races against decent opposition but his wind was catching him and we turned him out. We didn't do more than that hoping time would be the healer. He hasn't been in long and I looked at this race expecting there to be 20 runners and for us to be…
