Low-grade long-distance handicap chases are Hoot At Midnight's cup of tea. She won one over course and distance last November a short time before she went off for her winter break and will be fitter for her recent comeback run at Plumpton. Should be competitive back on this track today.

Peaked Too Soon has been in a bit of a slump for his past few runs but the handicapper has given him a chance with some welcome easing in his mark. If he could recapture the form of his close third at Warwick last September he would make them all go.

We bought Lelabad from the Shadwell dispersal last year after he had run a few times for Roger Varian and gave him an outing before Christmas. His work has been better recently and off his low mark he could hold a nice each-way chance at rewarding odds.

Mr Trick stayed on very strongly when getting up late last time to win over 7f at Haydock. Only raised 3lb for that, he now moves up to a mile but the manner in which he finished off last time, you have to be hopeful he will stay this far.

This is a trappy race but Sundayinmay is in good form and she likes Lingfield's all-weather. She has definitely strengthened over the winter and this looks a good opportunity.

Mrs Grimley is a lovely horse who has come over from Ireland after running a good second in a decent bumper. She has been doing nice work and we are hopeful she can go very close today.

After some near-misses Nazwa finally got his head over the line last time. That would have brought him confidence going into this two-horse affair where the Skelton horse will be favourite. Now he's won, Nazwa can give him plenty to think about.

Useful in bumpers, Zucayan is progressing steadily over hurdles and ran his best race yet last time. If he maintains the improvement he should go close in this handicap today.

Accidental Rebel had some decent form when based with Henry De Bromhead in Ireland. He has been off for ten months before making this stable debut. It's not a deep race and we think he has possibilities.

Shantou Express ran well last time in a very competitive three-mile handicap hurdle at Haydock. A repeat of that run must put him in with a great chance in what looks virtually a two-horse affair on paper..

Lawful Command put up a determined display last time to win over course and distance. He is up 3lb for that but he remains in great form and I fancy him for the follow-up.

This is mighty competitive and Ajero, on his second run on the flat, will do well to be placed. He will be one for handicaps later so he has to run here on his way to qualifying.

Tango Tonight put in a much-improved display behind a Gosden odds-on shot last time. She has a nice draw and if she finds a little more on that she is probably the one to beat today.
