29/05/22 - 1st 7/4 Original quote: "Jersey Wonder ran better than the bare form suggests at Market Rasen last time when he got into a pocket and didn't get out until it was all over. He was staying on well at the finish and that was reassuring as his career had been hampered in the…

29/05/22 – 3rd 15/2 – Hoot At Midnight – Charlie Longsdon – Fontwell
Low-grade long-distance handicap chases are Hoot At Midnight's cup of tea. She won one over course and distance last November a short time before she went off for her winter break and will be fitter for her recent comeback run at Plumpton. Should be competitive back on this track today.

29/05/22 – 3rd 9/1 – Peaked Too Soon – Kim Bailey – Uttoxeter
Peaked Too Soon has been in a bit of a slump for his past few runs but the handicapper has given him a chance with some welcome easing in his mark. If he could recapture the form of his close third at Warwick last September he would make them all go.

27/05/22 – 1st 2/1 – Torbellino – J Best & K Jewell – Brighton
Torbellino ran really well last time out at Lingfield on the turf but has to handle this quirky track. The worthy favourite Junoesque has done most of her winning at Brighton and will be hard to beat.

26/05/22 – 2nd 9/1 – Lelabad – William Knight – Yarmouth
We bought Lelabad from the Shadwell dispersal last year after he had run a few times for Roger Varian and gave him an outing before Christmas. His work has been better recently and off his low mark he could hold a nice each-way chance at rewarding odds.

26/05/22 – 2nd 9/2 – Mr Trick – Ian Williams – Yarmouth
Mr Trick stayed on very strongly when getting up late last time to win over 7f at Haydock. Only raised 3lb for that, he now moves up to a mile but the manner in which he finished off last time, you have to be hopeful he will stay this far.

26/05/22 – 1st 11/4 – Quickthorn – Hughie Morrison – Sandown
This will be Quickthorn's third run of the year already and I don't really like running staying horses so much early in the season. The race is here though and on his strong-finishing effort at Ascot he should not be far away. He will probably enjoy the stiff finish up the Sandown hill.

24/05/22 – 2nd 8/1 – Nusa Dua – Hughie Morrison – Bath
I think Nusa Dua has improved since last year - she will need to have! It's difficult for her as she's blind in her left eye and struggles with confidence as she isn't aware of horses coming up on that side. She could go well here but may probably get a little tired as it's…

24/05/22 – 1st 5/2 – Sundayinmay – William Knight – Lingfield
This is a trappy race but Sundayinmay is in good form and she likes Lingfield's all-weather. She has definitely strengthened over the winter and this looks a good opportunity.

24/05/22 -1st 11/8 – Mrs Grimley – Ben Pauling – Southwell
Mrs Grimley is a lovely horse who has come over from Ireland after running a good second in a decent bumper. She has been doing nice work and we are hopeful she can go very close today.

23/05/22 – 1st 11/8 – Nazwa – Oliver Sherwood – Huntingdon
After some near-misses Nazwa finally got his head over the line last time. That would have brought him confidence going into this two-horse affair where the Skelton horse will be favourite. Now he's won, Nazwa can give him plenty to think about.

23/05/22 – 1st 11/2 – Zucayan – Fergal O’Brien – Ludlow
Useful in bumpers, Zucayan is progressing steadily over hurdles and ran his best race yet last time. If he maintains the improvement he should go close in this handicap today.

23/05/22 – 1st 2/1 – Accidental Rebel – Fergal O’Brien – Ludlow
Accidental Rebel had some decent form when based with Henry De Bromhead in Ireland. He has been off for ten months before making this stable debut. It's not a deep race and we think he has possibilities.

21/05/22 – 3rd 13/2 – Uccello – Micky Hammond – Musselburgh
Uccello, a son of Frankel, finally seems to be getting the idea of racing. A creditable fourth the last twice, including around here two runs back, he has a good draw. If he continues the progress he would represent our best chance of the day.

21/05/22 – 2nd 25/1 – Fiftyshadesaresdev – Micky Hammond – York
Fiftyshadesresdev didn't run too badly on reappearance over a mile but we're dropping him back a furlong as his sire Johnny Barnes was basically a sprinter. He has a decent draw but in a big field it would not be a shock if he proved to be a little over-faced.

21/05/22 – 1st 13/8 – Shantou Express – Kim Bailey – Stratford
Shantou Express ran well last time in a very competitive three-mile handicap hurdle at Haydock. A repeat of that run must put him in with a great chance in what looks virtually a two-horse affair on paper..

20/05/22 – 1st 9/2 – Lawful Command – Brian Meehan – Goodwood
Lawful Command put up a determined display last time to win over course and distance. He is up 3lb for that but he remains in great form and I fancy him for the follow-up.

19/05/22 – 2nd 14/1 – Ajero – Kim Bailey – Sandown
This is mighty competitive and Ajero, on his second run on the flat, will do well to be placed. He will be one for handicaps later so he has to run here on his way to qualifying.
