Desaray Girl is up in the weights after her two good recent wins since reverting to hurdles, but is still miles below her earlier rating. The favourite looks a big threat but now she has her confidence back our mare holds every chance of another good performance.

Sparkle In His Eye won twice and then seemed to find a longerr trip last time taxing his stamina. Back to seven furlongs and from an okay draw, albeit 3lb higher, he should run his race but there are one or two that look dangerous.

This track should be ideal for Feel The Pinch. He has been making gradual improvement and that progress puts him in this race with each-way claims.

Big Bad Bear found the ground much too soft last time at Uttoxeter but he did not run too badly the time before. His mark has come down a long way and on this better surface I would not be surprised if he bounced back to form.

The ground may be drying up a little too much for Pride Of Lecale but he remains in good form. Hopeful of a place at least.

If Freethinker is in the same form he showed last time over this course when he won going away then he should not be troubled by the 8lb rise or the slightly longer trip. With the ground to his liking we had to go for it. Big chance of the follow-up.

Carnival Zain has had a break and resumes off a lower mark. He wasn't beaten far last time and should run well although he might just need the outing.

Trevelyn's Corn will probably be suited by further but after a moderate effort last time he really needs to start showing something. His mark continues to drop without much sign of his becoming competitive.

Geryville has a pronounced round action but for all that he moves well so the ground may not prove to be a problem. We will be making more use of him in this three-horse race - the obvious favourite pulling out is a bonus - and hopefully he will take advantage of the weight he…

Ardmayle has been a shade disappointing in his last few runs. He tired and checked out two from home after travelling very well at Exeter and seemed to be catching his breath so we're fitting a tongue-tie. He's dropped a fair way in the weights and apart from the favourite this isn't the greatest race.…

Hector Javilex had decent placed form in Irish points and did not fare too badly first time over hurdles for the stable at Ludlow. We gave him a wind-op after that run and are hoping for a better showing now.

Shighness got up late to win a bumper here but she has been less impressive in her two hurdles starts. She will probably be seen to best advantage in low-grade handicaps.

Crambo is home-bred by Sullivan Racing and he has a great pedigree for jumping - by Saddler Maker out of a mare by Martaline. He won very nicely here on Boxing Day and can stay unbeaten by defying the penalty against some promising types.

Paint The Dream is in great form. He does not always run to his best but on his day he is hard to beat and if the race goes his way he could easily come out on top.

Universal Folly probably wants two-and-a-half miles now and maybe in time three miles, but the ground will be very testing here and even this trip will take plenty of getting. Nells Son is a grand horse and I think he has a nice chance with ground to suit him today. He ran well enough when fourth behind Jonbon at Haydock last time and while he has ground to make up on the runner-up it's not impossible he could manage it.

Chadlington Lad has been gradually improving as he gains jumping experience. This opposition is probably a cut above his level at this stage.

Jaytee has been running well all season, initially over hurdles then last time switched to chases at Leicester. He was a good second there on debut and normal improvement would make him the one to beat in this chase handicap.

Glimpse Of Gala showed stamina and a decent finishing burst to take advantage when a winning opportunity presented itself at Warwick. She ran another good race when stepped up to three miles around here, finishing a creditable third and is one of the main contenders in a wide-open handicap hurdle.
