Mojandil has put in a couple of very disappointing runs this spring when we fancied him to go well. He has the ability to go close but needs to pull his socks up.
Kayf Adventure didn't get very far last time losing his rider at an early fence but ran much better the time before. He's very well at home and switches back to hurdles where he's 5lb lower. The rain won't bother him and he could go close.
I've been waiting for cut in the ground for Year Of The Dragon who has done well for his break after three runs on all-weather. I think he will be competitive first time in a handicap and am hopeful he will go close,
Royal Village has been off since November and could run okay but I'm not convinced that he truly stays three miles. He's going to be one of our summer horses so we'll be looking for encouragement today.
Royal Practitioner makes her debut today, very late in life as she's an eight-year-old. She does jump very well and works nicely so we'll be looking for a solid first run. We'll know much more about her tonight.
Forthegreatergood hasn't yet matched the level of her bumper form in her runs over hurdles. She could show a little more today but it will probably be in handicaps that we see the best of her.
Blazon has had a break and is beginning to look well handicapped on his old form. This is his ideal course and distance so we think he could go well tonight.
It's a similar story with Trailboss as before his debut as he was novicey with his jumping that day. There's a Paul Nicholls hotpot to beat but if Trailboss gets his jumping sorted he'd have each-way chances.
As High Say had plenty of experience before winning a three-mile point-to-point in Ireland and has been doing everything right at home, working and jumping very nicely. The trip around this sharp track might be an issue but she shows plenty of boot so we're pretty hopeful of a winning start.
Blazon has had a break and is beginning to look well handicapped on his old form. This is his ideal course and distance so we think he could go well tonight.
Abel Tasman has been disappointing and pretty average on his last three runs. He needs things to fall right for him and this is also his first time over a trip as far as a mile and threequarters.
Soft Risk is a lovely horse making his debut in this bumper. Hopefully he'll be there with a chance but win or lose when he comes home tonight he'll still be a lovely horse.
Brummie Boys has been a disappointing horse and has never changed physically since the day I bought him, still looking on the weak side. We blinkered him last time to sharpen him up and he ran too free so we're dropping back half a mile. Rain will be a help, but he'll be going to…
Famous Last Word heads this low-grade handicap with a big weight. He stays very well so should enjoy the step up to three miles. Good each-way shout with a decent claimer taking 7lb off.
Psychedelic Rock did well to win around here two weeks ago and has not been unduly penalised for that. Track and ground are both to his liking and he is fit and well so the hat-trick is very much on the cards.
Corbulo did very well to win around here on his return to action and was unlucky not to follow up at Nottingham, getting rather too far behind but finishing well. That was also the style of his previous win and if George can keep him in contention, that finishing effort could be decisive again.
Rosemary And Thyme got off the mark nicely at Lingfield where Hollie gave the filly a very good ride. They team up again in a very different class of race but she has no weight and weight brings horses of widely-differing abilities closer together. We'll find out a lot about her today.
