Petite Power has been in decline for some time. He tackles his lowest-grade opposition for ages, but until he shows signs of a revival we will not be holding out much optimism.

Bowtogreatness was looking dangerous when falling three out on hurdles debut over this course and distance last time. With a clear round he should be bang there.

Fine Casting is in good order. We're dropping back to two miles today whereas he probably wants two and a half but two in the heavy around here should be fine. I think he'll take a lot of stopping.

Poetic Music is a gorgeous mare who shows good ability at home. She has the size to carry the penalty for the impressive debut win at Market Rasen and we are hopeful she will run another big race.

Pull Again Gren won his bumper well at Uttoxeter and then rallied to finish a close second on hurdles debut at Ascot. This is a nice race with some smart types engaged. The jockey said last time he would be better going left-handed so we hope that brings improvement and he can go very close.

Torigni took the long trek north to Kelso only to come down at the second fence. It's not such a distant trip today and in another four-horse field it's fingers crossed he completes. If he does he will have every chance.

Get Prepared was in the process of running a good race last time last season when coming down still sharing the lead at Kempton. He will be better for his comeback run the other day and starts handicapping on what seems a fair mark. Interesting.

Glittering Love stays well and does all right around here. I'm hopeful he will put in a good one today.

Roccowithlove returns from a long layoff. He was last seen winning at Newbury almost two years ago and seems to have retained his ability. He could come on for today's outing but we are just looking forward to seeing him back on track.

Mucho Mas wasn't quite right on his hurdles debut at Aintree but he seems much more like himself now. I think he should go close today.

Ask Dillon has been uncharacteristically out of sorts so far this season but as yet the handicapper has been reluctant to let him off the leash. He has run well in races like this around here more than once in the past and a revival would not be a total shock.

Byzantine Empire was in great form in the summer, winning twice at Southwell. He has had a wind-op since and returns off only 1lb higher. Dangerous at this level if he copes with the different demands of today's track.

Crystal Glory is a nice horse and after his debut win over hurdles at Hexham this is the next step in his education. Olly Murphy's horse is carryng plenty of confidence apparently but he could be in for a bit of an education too. He'll need to be pretty useful to beat Crystal Glory.

This is first time in a handicap for Glimpse Of Gala and she still has plenty to learn. She looks pogressive and if she can run on into a place in this big field I'll be happy.

Mister Watson ran a couple of very good races in decent company last season without quite managing to get his head in front. He was below that form on his recent return but now off 4lb lower could go close in a wide-open handicap hurdle.
