Gege Ville is one of two nice horses we run in this bumper. They both make their debuts here and Gege Ville was nuch the cheaper but he goes well. Interesting to see how it pans out between them.

Mayo Star is a very fragile horse and if the ground today is not on the easy side heading towards soft I may not run him. We'll see when we get there.

We run two nice horses in this race and Famous Bridge delighted me when second on his debut for the stable at Carlisle. He looks in great condition and if he can improve a little for that experience he would hold a great chance today.

I've always liked Tango Tonight and she showed promise on debut at Kempton. I haven't been able to do much with her since but she could outrun her odds.

It's taking me a while to warm to Beggarman whom I originally struggled to trust entirely. After that first win at Kempton I'm reconsidering, but he isn't the most straightforward and if he didn't follow up it wouldn't be the biggest surprise.

Eyeofthescorpion made a promising start first time for us at Ffos Las and is probably just a shade better fancied than stable-companion Polish who has to concede him 13lb. Mind, it could be very close between them and they both have decent claims in an open race.

Lyrical Genius won an English point and then made all nicely in a bumper at Warwick. He has schooled very well and I'm looking forward to seeing him run.

Go Pharisee Flyer has been disappointing over hurdles but he is related to some decent chasers and seems to love jumping a fence. We are opimistic this will stand him in good stead for improved performances from now on.

Checkandchallenge is going nicely at home. He is by Fast Company and makes his debut in a competitive enough maiden contest. He isn't ideally drawn but sometimes you are better off not being near the rails here as that's where the most crowding can occur. Each-way chances.

You can't get excited about Freethinker - he has ability but is not straightforward. One day he might pop up and win but I fear that could be some way off.

Bearwith has a solid chance. He was running consistently before his short break but resumes 5lb higher after finishing second here last time. He may be an ordinary horse but this is an ordinary race and he has as I said a solid chance.

If I Say faces a 1/6 shot here and the race for him will be for second place. He hasn't been brilliant over hurdles so far but we are hopeful he can follow the favourite home.

Shighness has had three runs in bumpers and could be running on up the straight with the experience behind her. She will be a two-and-a-half-mile hurdler in time.

Findthetime is a nice horse who seems to be improving. I'm not sure Sedgefield is his ideal track but hopefully he will overcome that and open his account today.

Regaby made all in determined fashion over this marathon course and distance 12 days ago. Up 4lb he can repeat the dose in similar style this afternoon.

It will be interesting to see whether Tequila Blaze, who been competing at around two and a half miles will do better going up in trip. We think three miles will really suit her in which case she would have a sound each-way chance in this mares' handicap.

Our Jester ran well when runner-up in two bumpers in the spring. He has not been working brilliantly and I'm not sure I've got him fit enough to win this decent bumper. Sometimes these horses get a little "slow" and I hope that hasn't happened with him as he has the form and experience to…
