I think I have Apple Rock back in the form he was when he went to Carlisle on his comeback run. He won impressively that day and has a very good chance now back to a similar trip.

Lily Of Leysbourne has had a very long time off but she has been going very well at home. She might just need the run but could easily get into the frame and land an each-way bet.

Uisce Ur is a little quirky but she's in very good order for this switch back to hurdling, which she should enjoy. She will have a big chance if she wants to but saves a bit. Each-way hopes.

Zayriyan is not a horse to be trusting too much but this is definitely winnable. He is running well enough to go close to gaining that long-overdue first career victory.

Anightinlambourn is going nicely at home. The drop back in trip should help her and I'll be surprised if she isn't in the first three.

Cardano ran well last time at Newcastle but this will be a very different proposition around Lingfield. He gallops and stays and must have his chance in a competitive handicap.

I'm sure that Storm Melody will run another good race although one or two of these could well be too good for him today. I'm confident he'll be winning again shortly.

Two For Gold disappointed in the Ladbroke but that was such a fast-run race he probably was out of his comfort zone too early. This looks more his standard of race and he seems in good form. He certainly needs to run to his best to win or be placed in this but should run…

Lucky's Dream is a big enough price in what is admittedly a decent race like last time at Wolverhampton where he was unlucky not to be closer when a 50-1 shot. Unfortunately they will only pay two places each-way but I'm sure he'll run his race and not be far away at the finish,

Ask Dillon is an ultra-consistent horse in these long-distance handicap hurdles and he copes with the ground too. We are taking 7lb off his big weight and we are hopeful of another place - at least!

Slipway is a very promising young horse that we like very much. This is extremely competitive but I expect him to outrun his odds.

I'm surprised to see the money for El Conquistador this morning. On what he's shown us so far he would appear to have a bit to do in this company, although the step up in trip might help.

Becky The Boo was a very promising fourth when the only mare in a hot bumper at Newbury, staying on strongly up the straight. The form of that race has been working out and she has travelled up well, eating up and has been in great form at home since her run.

City Derby was in the process of running a good race on bumper debut at Hereford when he was brought  down on the home bend. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have won as the winner stayed on very strongly but he would have been placed and we are hopeful he will get in the frame…

Impeach has been improving in his races to date and ran well in third last time around here over this trip. With normal improvement he has to go close in a trappy race.

Bill Baxter has point-to-point form and while it will probably not be until he goes over obstacles that he shows his true talent, we are hopeful of a solid run in this bumper debut.

Hepburn has also missed races through meetings being called off. She's 17 hands so hardly the ideal candidate you would think for Fakenham but it's a 0-100 mares' handicap and you don't find many of those. She's yet to win a race and that will probably still be the case tonight. 

Seaston Spirit has raced only once this season when enjoying a runaway win over hurdles in heavy ground at Ffos Las. As a young horse he could be naughty but he has settled down now and loves extrme distances and conditions. This race should fit his requirements ideally.

Sincerely Resdev is the best chance of a winner we have today. He won nicely first time out for the stable at Sedgefield in November and while he didn't follow it up on a return visit there nine days ago is in good form and could go close.

Bullion Boss ran a much better race the last time here when second to an easy winner but this is probably a more competitive race. Again like our other runners he has each-way claims.
