18/12/20 – 2nd 5/1 – Knocknamona – Micky Hammond – Uttoxeter

Knocknamona came back from the doldrums with a nice win over fences at Bangor, but not only did he go up 10lb on his chase rating but a similar figure hurdling, so we're pretty much forced to run today as his new marks kick in tomorrow. Normally you'd think that would mean a very obvious…

17/12/20 – 2nd 13/2 – Hasanabad – Ian Williams – Chelmsford

Hasanabad has had a break since his short and successful spell over hurdles in the summer. He has come down a little in the weights on the level but may still need a few pounds more off to be competitive and this looks a strong race.

17/12/20 – 1sr 3/1 – Dock Road – Ben Pauling – Exeter

Dock Road showed considerable promise first time on a racecourse when chasing home smart Flat-racer Ranch Hand around here. This will be very competitive, but I'm hopeful he can go one better today.

17/12/20 – 2nd 8/1 – Lady Of The Night – Kim Bailey – Exeter

This ground is not ideal but we have what we have and this is her third run. On her best form she could be placed.

16/12/20 – 2nd 4/1 – Shady McGee – William Knight – Kempton Park

Shady McGee probably hit the front a bit too soon last time here and was just caught by Marsabit. We've been very happy with him since and he goes back there with a good chance of turning the form around.

16/12/20 – 1st 17/2 – Another Venture – Kim Bailey – Ludlow

We have had a difficult preparation with this horse. He ran well here last season although not in this race. He is well but will improve for the run and we will be happy is he is placed.

16/12/20 – 2nd 100/30 – Getaweapon – Kim Bailey – Ludlow

Getaweapon won nicely over two miles at Hereford and we have always felt that a longer trip would be even more suitable. She's in against the girls today and while there are lots of runners and with several fancied, she clearly has place chances or better.

16/12/2- – 3rd6/1 – Thegallantway – Fergal O’Brien – Newbury

Thegallantway is a tough horse but this is a very tough race. Each-way chances.

16/12/20 – 1st 6/4 – St Barts – Ken Pitterson – Newbury

Made a good start to his chasing career with a second at Exeter. He showed good technique throughout the race when jumping to his left over fences and with more improvement to come has a solid chance of getting off the mark.

– King Of Tsavo – Ken Pitterson – Kempton Park

This good-looking colt ran in a decent Newbury maiden first time up and that race has supplied winners since. He was slightly unlucky the way the race unfolded but he was doing all his best work towards the finish. Now making his handicap debut, Roger Charlton's colt looks to be on an attractive mark.

15/12/20 – 1st 13/8 – Lady Percival – Hughie Morrison – Wolverhampton

Lady Percival ran well from a bad draw at Kempton and needless to say she's got another high-number stall, something you don't really want at Wolverhampton. I'm not sure she's improved since Kempton but while she might be vulnerable to a less exposed rival, she must have her chance.

15/12/20 -1st 3/1 – Flagrant Delitiep – Ken Pitterson – Wincanton

Ran well over hurdles and was second here over fences behind Native Robin, and he is better off with that raval today. The softer ground should bring out the best in him and with luck he should go very close.

15/12/20 – 1st 11/2 – Bailarico – Warren Greatrex – Catterick

Bailarico continues in good order. If he copes with the softer ground he should be thereabouts.

15/12/20 1st 7/2 – Messire Des Obeaux – Ken Pitterson – Wincanton

In 2016 this horse won the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle and has been lightly-raced since. He had one run last year showing he still retains his old abilty. Alan King's 8yo makes his chasing debut today. He is fit and well and must have a good each-way chance.

15/12/20 – 3rd 18/5 – Getaway Jewel – Micky Hammond – Catterick

Becky picked up a ban after her last ride on this horse which looked pretty bad but circumstances went against her. The ban doesn't start for a few days and counts only on days when there are amateur jump races so she won't be able to ride in one of them after today until February.…

14/12/20 – 1st 16/5 – Little Awkward – Oliver Sherwood – Plumpton

Little Awkward did well to win first time in a bumper at Fontwell although he didn't follow it up at Exeter. This auction novice hurdle is restricted to horses that have been through a ring and cost no more than 30k, the price in Euro that Little Awkward cost at the Goff's Landbrover sale in…

14/12/20 – 1st 11/8 – Nells Son – Nicky Richards – Ayr

Nells Son ran a blinder on debut here back in February where he lost out on the nod with the rest of the field a long way back. It was soft that day and as he's a horse with quite a knee action he should be fine under these conditions. Should go very well.

14/12/20 – 2nd 4/1 – Victorias Peak – Fergal O’Brien – Plumpton

Victorias Peak had plenty of experience in Irish points and won her last by a wide margin. She doesn't blow the lights out on the gallops and in what looks potentially a strong race, may have to be content with a place.

14/12/20 – 2nd 11/2 – Central City – Ian Williams – Kempton Park

Central City ended a losing run with a workmanlike win here two runs back but nothing went right on his attempt at a repeat a week later. The previous version of Central City would be a contender again tonight.
