Pencreek is in good order after his two placed runs at Newbury and Southwell. He should run well again although I hope the ground will not have gone too soft for him.

Gortroe Joe had a horrible fall at Leicester last time and I hope it hasn't dented his confidence. He was a revelation when winning from the front previously at Sandown and if he could get back to that sort of form he'd have to go close.

Pellady starts handicapping on a fair mark although she's still carrying a big enough weight. That makes her vulnerable to anything lower down that might have something in hand but on her best form she has an each-way chance.

Oski had been off the track for almost three years when making his chase and stable debut at Hereford earlier this month. He was still in contention two from home when falling. Everyone is hoping that he can continue to run well and come back safe after what should be a run in the frame.

Volkovka did well to win at Market Rasen and should be very competitive again. On official ratings she has something to find with Can't Stop Now who won easily at Fakenham. She gets the 7lb filly allowance and Connor takes off another 3lb so it could be close between the pair.

Quinta Do Mar was just denied in a point-to-point at Cottenham a year ago. He looks a nice recruit to the stable and should go well.

I think Centurion Song will be suited by this straight five furlongs. He has had plenty of chances and has often not been beaten far but it's time he stepped up. I will be disappointed if he doesn't.

Nestor Park has come back well into form this season after struggling last winter. The step up in trip on testing ground will suit him much better than two and a half miles around Aintree and with Luca taking off 7lb, he must have a great each-way chance.

Paint The Dream is unpredictable. He can run a blinder in a high-class contest like the Dipper and then under-perform in races that look within his reach. He can be a weak finisher and not respect the fences which isn't a great idea around Newbury. He has an engine though so we'll see which Paint…

Lleyton could not quite pull off the double around here following his 50-1 shock two runs back when a closing neck second over two miles. He's up another 2lb for that but reverting to 1m6f he looks the one they have to beat in a decent race.

Torigni made a promising start for us and for his new double-green colours when third at Warwick. An easy winner in France, we hope he can build on that latest run and go very close here.

First Flow should enjoy the ground and although he has plenty of weight he is big enough to carry it. Must go close.

We like ex-French Eragone and he ran well for two miles on his stable debut at Carlisle before running out of puff. We're dropping him back today and I wouldn't be surprised if he ran well and maybe he could even reach the frame.

Lunar Sovereign will need to step up on the form of his stable debut when beaten a long way into third at Carlisle. It seems he might not like the ground as testing as this.

Nothin To Ask goes well and is in good order. The fact he has had experience in Irish points will be to his advantage but clearly the favourite will take some beating.

Mucho Mas is a nice three-year-old by Fame And Glory. He is shaping well but this is usually a very hot bumper and we'll be delighted with a run in the frame.

Another Emotion is dropping back in trip and we are putting the headgear on. He will be going from the front at a strong gallop hopefully from start to finish which should suit him well.

Naizagai is consistent but the suspicion remains that he's probably better going right-handed. Hopefully the application of a hood will help and certainly place chances again.
