We liked Buxted Two before his debut and he lived up to that impression with a very promising fiirst run around here a fortnight ago. This novice race looks if anything stronger than last time but he should improve for the debut and will not be disgraced.

I like Lady Percival who is a very nice maiden and expect her to outrun her odds. She is up against it from the outset though with a dreadful wide draw but when she matures she could be quite a decent filly.

Dontdelay has an excellent record on this track and won the corresponding race 12 months ago. He goes well fresh, stays every yard of four miles and copes with heavy ground. With Emma now much more experienced but still able to claim 7lb we have to give him a big chance as he's done plenty…

Franigane was always going to improve for obstacles and we are looking forward to kicking off his new campaign. He has filled out and strengthened into a proper horse and whatever he achieves over hurdles will be a bonus as he's built for chasing.

Cool To Be A Cat has been a very disappointed horse but I remain convinced that a race of this nature will fall his way one day. He takes a big step up in trip today and hopefully that  will make a difference.

Kalimotxo finally showed something like her home form over this course and distance last time. Starting from stall one, where she is placed again tonight, she came from some way back and stayed on into fifth at the finish. Obviously there was lots of notebook interest in Abel Tasman after his latest effort, staying on from well behind after missing the break badly again. The step  up in trip should help in that regard and so would a better exit, but he looks an awfully short price to me.      

Saint Dalino won over today's trip in heavy at Ffos Las on her last run last season and I expect her to need three miles in future. Leicester is a stiff track so she might get away with it and we're hopeful of a decent run.

Avoid De Master is in good form. He ran very well on his first run for the stable when a closing third at Exeter and showed there he would be better over further. This race should suit him ideally and we're really confident he can gain a first win under Rules. 

Big Difference is in good order and I expect him to go well. Today's conditions should be suitable and I'm looking forward to the run today.

Chez Castel Mail is a very nice horse and has lots of ability but has been plagued with injury. We thought he was probably the best horse we've trained but nothing went right last season when he came back after almost two years  off. He's returning to action in good form but having fallen on…

Agent Valdez has always looked likely to be a better chaser than hurdler and we're quite hopeful about this debut over fences. She had a nice spin round on seasonal return at Exeter and jumps well. She has a good each-way chance today. 

Chazza won nicely last time out at Bangor, possibly well enough to suggest he might be fairly handicapped. We'll find out today if he is.

Grandeur D'Ame is a full-brother to Dominator and we were delighted when he was able to make light of his inexperience to win on debut at Newton Abbot. Commit No Nuisance was one of our fancied trio all denied a run at Kempton last week when the fog descended on Sunbury-on-Thames, He'd been doing enough to convince me he would go well there and that remains the position for this first run for about a year.
